Pretty poor experience to be honest.

Booked a table for 2.15. When arrived, was advised chef was starting his break and would be roughly 30 minutes. 30 minutes later told he'd be another 10/15 minutes. Why take bookings when you can't actually serve?

Anyway, ordered food. A starter/sharer between all 3, and 3 mains. It all came at once. So not great. The attached pictures are what they call "steak and ale pie" on the menu. Few bits of meat and a small piece of anemic puff pastry. I've seen other pictures of this dish in reviews, with lots of meat, a lovely looking gravy, and a nice big blob of puff pastry. Whilst a PIE is NOT what is on offer here, they at least looked appetising and hearty. This effort was a very poor. I've had better for £3 in the Horseshoe.

Went to the bar to seek the bill (no one was coming near us to ask), and it duly arrived. Minus the friends and family discount I had advised of, but that was easily sorted when I went back to the bar.

I might have mentioned the food quality, or the absence of a chef, had the poor guy left alone at the bar at 4pm of an afternoon in December in the 4th largest city in the UK, but no one asked. Or cared.

I live and work in the city centre, but I'm pretty sure I won't be back for any food.

Sorry to the staff for zero tip, but it's not a right. It's a reward. And it...

Having been in this pub many times for several months, we had been in on Wednesday 17th April 2024, spent approx £50 between myself and friens, he has 2 hearing aids and when he approached someone esle with a yappy dog because it reverberates through his hearing aids and gives him pain, nothing against dog owner but the female barmaid took real exception to him she said he was shouting at the dog owner when he actually speaks a bit louder due to his poor hearing, and she took it upon herself to say we will not be served again and she actually placed the barking dog above customers who have going there regular for months and months, she was very obnoxious and was litening to nothing and being just nasty, they have lost custom as we have never any intentions of every frequesnting the place again, not hte best barmaid I have ever came accross, bad manners too paying customers and backing up a...

Drouthy's is a delightful spot for a hearty Scottish breakfast. The haggis was a standout—rich and flavorful, perfectly cooked. We paired our meal with a local IPA that was smooth and refreshing, making it an excellent complement to our food. The ambiance is warm and inviting, creating a perfect backdrop for a relaxed meal. The service was attentive and friendly, enhancing our overall experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Scottish fare in a cozy setting!

As a Largs local gal, my regular local haunt is Drouthy Neebours in Largs, was having a family gathering in Glasgow today and visited our sister pub, staff were great friendly and very accommodating, our local celebrity ( official pub rugby mascot🤣🐶❤️🐾)even loved all the attention she received and even wolved down her doggy pub lunch, along with us humans. 10/10 will definitely revisit next time in the city.
