A couple of friends and myself decided to try this place on a Saturday evening. We didn’t have a booking but were told it wouldn’t be long for a table to open up.
About 25 minutes later we were seated and given menus. We sat for about 20 minutes with no offer of drinks or any inquiries on if we were ready to order. We subsequently played around with the chop sticks, pretend sword fights and such, showing as much exasperation as possible, short of throwing a tantrum. Considering how long we waited for a seat I found this to be appalling service
Finally, my friend made enough severity of eye contact to wake up one of the waiters to our plight. Food and drinks ordered, it wasn’t long before our food arrived (it came before the drinks). And the food was lovely. Very much enjoyed it.
When our plates were take away we asked for the bill. Again we sat for another 20 minutes and by this time most people had left. It seemed like the waiters were all rushing around tidying things up to get away rather than bother to deal with our bill and allow us to go on and enjoy the rest of our evening.
I decided just to get up and make my way over to which the waiter asked “you want the bill?”. I just nodded in response to his ignorance which started to feel quite blatant at this point. Some friendly courtesies regarding the rest of our night and we were on our way.
Arrived at 7:30pm and left at 10pm. Much longer than should have been the case even though we hadn’t booked.
The great food ruined by some really bad service. Which is...

The takoyaki didn't felt stuffed enough and the tori katsu currys taste was a bit dry. The sushi was nice, but a bit overpriced in my opinion. The ice cream came straight out of the freezer so was very hard to scoop through. We choose Nigori sake (easy for beginners) with the meal and that went really well with aloe vera drinks. The tap water was complimentary and served ice cold, which is great.
Other than the food, the setting of the Japanese themed restaurant didn't feel authentic Japanese except for the Japanese(?) lady in her yukata greeting customers at the door and some Asian waitresses. The toilet's condition was mediocre. And eating on the second floor is not recommended unless you like not being distracted much. It could take some time before a waiter walks up the steps to check if you are ready to order, and there is no other way to signal the staff for attention other than walking off the stairs.
Unfortunately I didn't...
