Delicious steak and ale pie and very reasonable prices. You can get 2 mains for 10 pounds and even a single meal is hardly more than 7 pounds. Portions are large enough and jacket potato as well as steak and ale pie were delicious. The place is a little hidden in a small alley off the main road, worth the visit.

Popped in yesterday for ONE drink. Music was good and loud but not overly-loud, rugby was on various screens, atmosphere was spot-on, service was great from friendly bar staff...so we stayed longer than one drink. lol. Great place and glad I discovered it.

Was in 2 weeks ago , having a great time , in the place for a few hours , the place is busy , so I am standing at bar , I moved over to the space in the bar , where the barmaids come in and out of behind the bar , with the place that busy , people trying to buy a round , I moved to the side of bar to let people order their drinks, manager comes up behind me , grabs my arm and tells ma I have to leave , because a took 1 step behind the bar, the happiest guy in the place...

Awful “bouncers” picking random people out of groups and refusing them entry for absolutely no reason.l but letting the rest of the group in.
