Ruined my Dundee tour😰 Walked in to have lunch and I stood at the reception for about 10 mins until I left. I asked a waitress if I could get a table and she said she needed to ask the manager. I couldn’t understand why a manager was to be involved in deciding whether or not I could sit and have food but I decided to give it a benefit of doubt. I stood for about 5 mins without anybody attending to me, I could see the waitress I had spoken to earlier standing at the other end of the restaurant doing nothing. There were also other waitresses who kept passing by and ignoring me. After 5 minutes, I went to the waitress from before and asked again and she said the decision on availability of space required the manager so I decided to be patient. After about 10 mins, I was tired of standing so I left.

Important to note though, the restaurant had pleasure of free tables. Secondly, I was okay if someone told me that they weren’t taking in single customers without reservations. I could have just left. But being ignored felt terrible 😢

Probably my skin colour was a part of it, I don’t know!!!

I hope no hungry person visiting a city goes through that.
