Place looks lovely, bar staff were nice and beer was reasonable but I certainly would not recommend eating here. I had the chicken, ham and leek pie which was nice, however the 'seasonable' vegetables were hardly that unless you consider the seasons of Iceland and the mash is the only mash potato I've ever had to eat by literally cutting it up with my knife. It had clearly been sitting around for much of the day and was warm at best. Covering it in gravy helped but the dish was certainly not worth nearly a tenner. Would have mentioned the issues to staff but no one asked us.

Dont judge this place by the outside...its lovely on the inside...its done up real nice on the inside..comfortable chairs to sit on...tables are a bit wobbly and a bit sticky so watch your elbows..beer is good they know how to pour a good pint that's for sure..had a foot long mac n cheese which was bloody tasty..macaroni could have been a bit warmer but still tasty...staff are a decent lot..very polite and helpful...this place is full of characters which makes for a cracking night out...good music too...defo recommend anyone giving this place a visit..

We had a midweek wedding reception in the upstairs area. Charlotte was great throughout and very responsive to emails which helped with the planning/organising. She was also happy for us to reorganise the tables and provide our own decorations. The buffet was great and good value for money. It was a quieter atmosphere to what you may have a the weekend, but this fit in perfectly with what we wanted. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the day, adding to a perfect day for us!
