Came here with friends for the first time tonight. The jazz band were fantastic, the staff were great and the food was amazing. I wish we lived closer to visit again. Every dish the 4 of us had was cooked to perfection, from the juicy hake on the risotto, the lamb, the vegetable dishes and the melt in your mouth homemade biscuits with the cheese course (I had to share with everyone as were so delicious). The bill at the end of a lovely evening was incredible value for such a lovely ambience, meal and staff. Absolutely brilliant! The live jazz was amazing and we even got the pleasure of having two bossa nova songs played just for us. The staff are very friendly and the house band is phenomenal. They are interactive with the people at the tables and you can't help but tap your feet all night long. Drinks are fantastic and the prices are well under what you would expect from a list with over 70 gin types. Will be going back next weekend to try the food. Really enjoyed our night, it out first time at a jazz bar but heard all the great reviews and me and the wife had to give it a go. Staff were very friendly, attentive and went out of their way to make sure we had a good night. Food was great, we had ours over a couple of hours which is a great idea. The setting was also very nice and romantic, loved the candlelight’s. The jazz musicians then did a great set, very talented. A great choice of wines and we loved the Manchester gin drink, fruity and easy to drink. Probably spent more than we normally would but was worth it and we did stay there from 8 until 11:30.
