Are you missing real Indian cuisine? Do you miss food prepared at home?
This is the ideal location for you. Desi Swag! The owner gives you a swag as a welcome. The atmosphere is excellent. The instrumental versions of all the Bollywood romantic tracks they play transport you back to the 1990s. There are vegetarian and non-vegetarian alternatives available. Remember the Jain option—no onion, no garlic—after visiting a temple or during festivals. Order in advance by giving them a call to ensure that the mouthwatering food is served on time. Typically, visitors visiting the Skanda Vale Temple stop at this location to pick up their Jain cuisine. The service counter is quite well-planned through the elevator, which is how they deliver the food from the kitchen. You've probably seen coffee makers or soft drinks dispensers, but this one has tea dispensers with options for Kashmiri tea, masala tea, and other varieties. If you're tired of squash and wish to have a "frooty," it's available.
This restaurant supports a number of Swansea University groups. When studying away from home, students in need of tiffin service can come to this place for affordable, freshly prepared food that is also hygienic. What more could you ask for?
The smooth, fluffy, and hot butter chapati tasted just like my mother's.

Read more🇮🇳 We had a fabulous meal at Desi Swaag in Swansea on Tuesday, where every bite was packed with authenticity.
We had:
🇮🇳 Mixed pakoda 🇮🇳 Papad with assorted chutneys 🇮🇳 Vada pav 🇮🇳 Aloo tiki pav 🍗 Chicken bhuna biryani 🍗 Butter chicken masala 🍟 Masala chips 🧄 Garlic naan
The mixed pakoda was crispy goodness, while the papad with assorted chutneys offered a delightful burst of contrasting tastes (was loving the tamarind dip). The street food specials stood out with the delicious vada pav, bursting with spice, and the comforting aloo tikki pav, which was a soft, savoury delight.
🍗 The chicken bhuna biryani was aromatic and perfectly spiced, paired beautifully with the rich, creamy butter chicken masala. 🍟 Masala chips added a fun, spicy kick to the meal, and the garlic naan was soft and fragrant, ideal for mopping up every bit of sauce.
We obviously had leftovers, which we took home to enjoy later – and the biodegradable containers were a fab touch!
Shoutout to Amol for the excellent and speedy service – it truly completed the experience!

Read moreWe decided to give this eatery a try, and we weren’t disappointed! There are many Indian restaurants in this part of Swansea, but this one is a little different. The ambience is relaxed with nicely decorated walls and a fairly modern seated area. The menu is large, but don’t expect the ‘usual’ standard dishes, although there are some familiar meals to try. There is a section of the menu devoted to Indian street food with plenty to tempt the palate. Also a selection thali combinations if you fancy trying a bit of a selection. All food was very tasty (fairly spicy), and well presented. The balance between the main ingredients and the sauce was much better than you normally experience in a typical restaurant; less sauce, but very intensely flavoured/ fragranced. The staff members are polite and knowledgeable, while checking that we were happy at every stage of our...
