Fresco Bar — Restaurant in Wales

On a lunchtime visit to this establishment today, I was unfortunately met with a series of issues that compelled me to share my experience, a rarity for me.

My order consisted of a beer and a beef burger. While the beer arrived promptly, the food order was incorrect; a chicken burger was served instead of the beef burger I had requested. The staff member promptly took it back to rectify the error.

However, the correct order, a beef burger, which arrived shortly thereafter, was completely inedible. It was severely dried out and overcooked. When I drew this to the attention of a passing waitress, indicating that the burger was awful and I did not wish for a replacement, her only reply was, "I didn't cook it."

Consequently, I consumed my beer and left the untouched, overcooked burger on the plate. This visit was a significant disappointment due to the order error, the unacceptable quality of the food, and the unsatisfactory response...

Very unfriendly welcome and staff, nasty over used cooking fat snell when you go in too.£7.50 for a very average tuna mayo sandwich is steep. BUT my issue was that on Sunday in the most horrendous weather after we went in from the museum and ordered our very average food from off hand staff, they locked the door between the restaurant and the museum and refused to open it and made everone go outside in the sheeting rain and wind to get back to our coats and bags in the lockers in the museum ! We were soaked through and had to curtail our day out to go home and change out of wet clothes. The cafe didn't care at all and were quite frankly just interested in your money Will not return AGAIN ! No customer service, lack lustre food and quite frankly uninterested staff. Swansea city Council should consider renting the cafe out to people who want to run a customer focused business, not unethical money...

My wife and I have visited here many times over the past ten years or so, as we have always enjoyed the food/coffee and have found the majority of staff to be consistently welcoming and attentive, so it’s a shame that today’s visit was quite the opposite of what we’ve previously experienced. There was no friendly welcome, so we didn’t feel particularly valued as customers, more like invisible, which isn’t very nice when you’ve visited somewhere repeatedly over many years and have even become acquainted with certain staff members during that time. It was like we’d never been there before, and not in a good way. We weren’t asked if our food was okay, or if we needed anything, and left feeling like we were completely unappreciated as long time customers.
