Went to the Swigg today with my partner and two children (ages 1 and 2) ordered some drinks for us and the little ones (lemonade/cola etc). Then my partner ordered food - loaded fries and side of chicken strips -£7 for the fries and £7.50 for the strips. He forgot to order ice cream for the kids so literally 1 minute after the food order he asked to order I’ve cream because he forgot and the woman serving said it would take an hour..? An hour for ice cream? I asked wether the food would take that long as well and she said no, that would be 5-10 minutes, but because we’ve put a new order through (1 minute later) that it was too busy now and would take an hour. I asked if she could ask in the kitchen if it could come out the same time as the food but they also refused! Literally two scoops of ice cream for two young children would take an hour. Not happy. So kids couldn’t have that. Anyway when the food came I was pretty shocked. £7.50 for 3 tiny chicken strips. I couldn’t actually believe it… picture included. Also the kids weren’t drinking their “lemonade” so I decided to taste it and turns out it was actually soda water. So more money wasted on paying for soda water rather than lemonade. Safe to say we WILL NOT be returning or recommending. Terrible service and shocking prices for...

The Swigg is a vibrant bar, restaurant, and live music venue located in Swansea Marina. Its name is inspired by the SWIGG Buoy in the bay of Swansea, which stands for South West Inner Green Grounds The venue's architecture reflects its maritime location and pays homage to Swansea

The Swigg is known for its welcoming atmosphere, local Welsh tapas, and live music events. 250 live music gigs annually and works closely with local suppliers, artists, and organizations to support the community The Swigg is also a popular spot for enjoying cocktails, small plates, and is lively and social If you're ever in the area, it's definitely worth a visit to experience the local culture and enjoy some great food and music This is A dog friendly pub The staff here are great here

My nickname for this place is the slop! After a few drinks, I go...

Impressed by both the food and the service at The Swigg when I had lunch there with family. The dishes are served on side plate sized dishes, with 2-3 dishes being about right for a light lunch.

We shared a heritage carrot salad, heritage tomato salad with olive tapenade, tofu in lime, coconut and ginger, falafel, cockles and chips.

At £6 per plate it isn't the cheapest place, especially considering the portion size, but each plate was beautifully presented and very well balanced in terms of flavour combinations.

The waiting staff were friendly and attentive, and, in something of a rarity these days, genuine.

We didn't stay for dessert as there was only one gluten free option, which didn't appeal, but we did finish with coffees, which were good.

Will definitely...

The burgers and chips here are stunning. We all had a different burger and tried a bit of each others. The general consensus was the bacon, bacon, bacon burger pipped the others to the post with the stunning maple bacon. It was around £14 odd for burger and an additional £2 odd to add chips, add a drink in and your looking at low £20's pp. My advice if your going for a family meal is to go weekdays or earlier than 4 Fri-Sunday as its busy with louder music and geared more towards reveling than food after these times - we ate outside as it was too loud for family meal inside (not that I'm judging I will be enjoying a bit of Swigg reveling on Friday evening 🍻 - just not with the kids)

Seafood Night was an absolute hit with the whole family! The atmosphere was lovely and bubbly, although appropriate for a really nice meal out, nice music, great staff and the food was fab. Our staple favourite at The Swigg are the cockles....everyone should get these when they visit. We had some fantastic dishes on the seafood menu tonight including seabass, scallops, sardines and the smoked salmon which were all our favourites. The sides were tasty and properly comforting, big thumbs up for the leek potatoes. Will definitely be back anyway but will be keeping a keen eye out for special menus/nights!
