It was busy when I ate here which may have affected the quality or consistency of my food.

The waiters were under pressure because of how busy it was but they were still accommodating and served us with bright faces which is respectable!

I ordered the beef medallions with baby potatoes which were a +£2.50 supplement (because of the beef). The sauce was delicious but the level the medallions were cooked were inconsistent. I asked for medium well and one medallion was perfect but the other two were well done. It was slightly disappointing. What was more disappointing was seeing only 4 baby potatoes on my plate. Comparing the amount of ‘potato’ with my friends who got fries, they had more potato than me. Baby potatoes may cost slightly more than others but I think they should have at least matched the amount of potato given for every potato side. With the amount of food on this big plate, it doesn’t look like much at all. It would have been more presentable if the plate was smaller to match the amount of food.

The dessert was nice but personally the cake got a little too much once I was nearing finishing it. Personally, I think decreasing the size of the cake a little bit and adding a bit more cream would make the dessert more enjoyable.

The price overall was £26.50 (including the +£2.50 beef supplement). I think it is an okay price but it is unlikely that I will come here...

Poor food and even poorer service.

My partner and I came here whilst we were in Wales.

The good The salad tasty with a nice balance of various veg and dressing. The scallops were also good.

The bad The prawns were over cooked and so tough. The calamari had no flavour. The paella was awful we didn't even eat it, the rice bordered a risotto texture. To top all of this off, the waitress was rude with an attitude issue.

If you want bland food and a place trying to serve authentic Spanish food but failing, then this is the place for you.

UPDATE RESPONSE TO

Hi to whomever replied to my post.

I think you have us confused with another customer as we didn't get anything re-cooked or replaced and we definitely didn't enter talking about poor service. We did not finish all our starters and we didn't have a main because we didn't eat the starters.

I'm sorry you feel my criticism was harsh, but it was all true including the rude waitress.

We didn't enjoy it, and not...

Fresh seafood and friendly service! I was pleasantly surprised as I was scrambling for dinner on my birthday - the beach place gave me wrong information about their opening hours which could have made for a bad birthday but luckily led me to El Fuego, one of the last places to be open. I called with 10 minutes left before closing and contrary to the other resto, they were very welcoming and assured me they would stay open for me. I ended up getting takeout but it was great service while I was waiting, with the servers offering me a drink and a seat. I didn't expect their food to be so delicious, which was very flavourful and super fresh! I went to El Pescador the night after and their seafood wasn't as good and I wished I had gone back to El Fuego. Their potatoes, chef's recommendation, were also excellent (crispy skin and soft centre). There are prettier restaurants but if you're simply looking for amazing food and friendly staff, I would recommend...

Visited on Valentines night and had an easy table booking process, confirmed by SMS. Good start! We got there on time and the staff member showed us to our table. The place was busy as you would expect however it never looked chaotic. Calmness prevailed. Orders for drinks and starters/mains were taken promptly (when we were ready) and we didn't need to wait too long for the starters. Scallops and whitebait, really nice. I ordered the sardines and my wife the hake. We both really enjoyed the presentation and taste. Finally desert - I had the fudge cake and the wife the vanilla cheesecake. Perhaps could have done with a small pot of cream each on these dishes but they were delicious nonetheless. The bill was presented on silver tray with a rose. Nice touch. All in all, a very enjoyable evening, unrushed and great food. Well done and compliments to the Chef.

I'm disabled, and was helped even before I reached the door, then shown a seat, and after being brought my food, I got up to pay, and the lovely man, held a palm up, a gesture meaning , "stay there", and they brought the card machine to me while I didn't have to stand, at all. They opened the door as I left. I only had a takeaway of 3 starters, I was treated like I'd ordered thousands of pounds worth of food. Then, I got home to eat it... Best value for money food and tasty too, that I've seen for ages. I wish I'd heard about you a while back. The amount I've spent on foul takeaways, on days I can't get out jor cook... But. I've now found you. And I'll definitely be returning. Very pleasantly surprised, for once. And thank you for the help. It was much appreciated. Chicken croquettes, patatas bravas and Paella starter.
