GlenAlly Marina Cafe — Restaurant in Wales

We were a group of 11 who visited for our pre-planned Christmas meal. There were 4 courses including a starter, main, dessert & mince pies with a drink. We were made to feel welcome on a very chilly day from the moment we walked through the door and that welcoming atmosphere continued until we left many hours later. The food portions were very generous and were absolutely delicious. Our hosts, Glen & Alison, were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. We even had a karaoke session hosted by a fabulous man (unfortunately I don’t know his name. Sorry!) who sang really well too. He even managed to encourage my adult son, who has autism & a learning difficulty, to sing three songs. He loved it. Thank you everyone for a memorable Christmas get-together. ...

Ordered two bacon rolls and a soda. Was overcharged and when we enquired about the extra charges was told it's 45p charge per person to sit at the outside table. This is not advertised and was then charged £1.20 extra. Waited 20 minutes and went to enquired when it will be ready was snapped at told it takes time to make. When it arrived was just slammed on the table. No apology. Just slammed down and walked off. Tomato sauce was a blob the size of a finger nail. Appalling service. However the bun was fresh. Only...

Ate here twice with my folks who were visiting from England and the owners came out for a good chat both times we visited, very friendly and hard working people who cook nearly all their own food , pies , welsh cakes etc. The bacon I had in my sandwich was good quality and the bread very fresh and prices are far better than its rival cafes. It was a pleasure to meet the owners lovely people especially as my mother can be extra picky/annoying 😀 she loved her coronation chicken...
