We made a booking as the restaurant seemed quite busy over the weekend. When we entered, they did not ask if we had a booking and we waited a few minutes for them to clean tables. They set up the table with cutlery and a small plate. Another couple sat on a table beside us a few minutes later, and they were given a menu. We tried to get attention to ask for a menu, and I waved in front of a few staff but we were completely ignored. 10 minutes later, someone gave us menus.
They took our order after the couple who came in before us, prompting us to call their attention again. We both ordered coke. The drinks arrived 10 minutes later, maybe 5 minutes after the couple beside us who had ordered wines and a soft drink. There was another couple behind us who arrived not long after us who were also overlooked for ordering.
We ordered two mains. From sit down to getting food, it took nearly 50 minutes. Meanwhile, the couple beside us had received their starters within a few minutes of ordering, and then received their mains 5-10 minutes after the starters were cleared. We received our food towards the end of them finishing their mains, and a larger group which came in after us also received their starters before we even had any food.
When the food arrived, it turned out we had ordered the same as the couple beside us. Our food was lukewarm at best and slightly charred on the edges. The mozzarella was greasy/lukewarm, it seemed like our food was left in the kitchen as it was just stodgy. The rice was horribly mushy, bland and half cold.
Head of staff/owner/someone high ranking had friends who visited, and they were given attention and served relatively quickly. They had arrived 10-15 minutes after us and also received their food quickly. We weren't offered any desserts, nor did anyone come to check with us how the food was. It was quite a task to even get any attention, and when we asked for the bill, the member of staff I asked didn't seem to know how to do this.
They had to wait for the head of staff/owner/someone high (who also had very long loose hair, which probably should have been tied back considering he was serving food at tables) ranking to do this for them, so maybe just a training blunder.
We do believe they were busy on the night in question (Sunday evening), but things just seemed quite disorganised and others we spoke to had a similar poor experience. Not sure we'll be visiting again considering it seemed more like we were a bother than anything. To round it off, a member of staff had held the door open for some diners to enter, spotted us (made eye contact and I had smiled), and that staff released the door. It nearly whacked me on the face before...
Read moreWe're do I start? We visited here because we love Turkish restaurants and we seen this place being made into a restaurant last time we visited, so we couldn't wait to visit Llandudno again to try it. Boy was we wrong.
Never in my life have I ever felt like i have wasted money when I have eaten somewhere before, but on this occasion I felt like I wasted the £100 that the meal cost us.
We ordered 3 starters the ezme and sucuk were as standard as you would get in any Turkish place, we also ordered the liver which had a bit of a funny taste so we decided to leave it because we were unsure if it was off or not.
No sooner the starter plates were removed less than a minute later our main meal were put down it was as tho they wanted us to leave as soon as possible as it was around 9'o'clock in a Sunday evening.
Not sure if it was the owner but we did say to him that we didn't want the mains straight he and he said we should have told them that when we ordered, I replied to him saying that's not reply my job you should rely be asking us if we would have liked the mains going on.
My wife ordered piri piri chicken skewer that said it come with peppers and onions which it didn't I was just a plain chicken skewer without any piri piri sauce either, when we told the waiter he just brought out the sauce and said just pour it over the chicken.
Like I said I have been to many Turkish restaurants before across the world but I am every disappointed with the service here such a shame as we was really looking forward to...
Read moreVisited Thursday evening around 7.30pm 21/3/24, it was fairly busy, we was greated by a very helpful friendly staff member and given a nice table where you can see all the food been prepared, due to the open plan kitchen it's a very warm restaurant, although for those who don't mind eating out they did have several outside tables available which I can imagine will be extremely popular in during the warm evenings. The menu has a very varied range of traditional Turkish meals with several tempting our choices and we both decided on the sharing mixed grill platter for two which arrived within several minutes of ordering and came with a big bowl of very tasty salad👌😋, some rice and dips the mixed grill main attraction had plenty of chicken and lamb some more tasty than others but overall a very enjoyable meal along with some excellent service and very reasonable prices considering the amount of food, very conformable seats, nice decor, design and colour scheme, great atmosphere and the best Turkish meal we have had in North wales to date and we are looking forward to try more meals here as its a nice change and a very welcome addition to the area, definitely something the town needs. Some small minor issues with some parts of the service but it's a newly opened restraunt and this is expected, so overall a great value Turkish meal dinning out...
