Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Wirral

Very disappointed!!!!!! Lukewarm coffee after long-long-long-long-long waiting, 4 of 1 make coffee from the stuff. We ordered a caramel oat and a vanilla coconut latte. For me it looked like the milk was from the same jug so I asked the lady, because i wasn't sure. After get-out we started to drink it. First impression we could drink, surprised (usually it is sooo hot, so we can warm our hands up with the cup, and it is so good in a windy, chilly days). Tastes are neutral, hardly sense vanilla, coconut, oat, (caramel was the strongest taste all of them). I don't know why but after half coffee we felt strange in our stomach. 3* for the pleasant staff and clean toilet facilities came here this morning unwillingly, i don't like costa stores as they're all continually average. decaf lattes are always weak, forcing you to ask for an extra shot to make it bareable (That said, i did enjoy my white chocolate iced latte) the toast is barely toasted expensive for what it is- no NHS discounts, now 10 beans instead of 8 for achieving a free drink, etc starbucks at least offer blue light discount & gold membership (which = freebies in the long run) i'll probably have to return here as i have no choice, due to remote working but i'm not...

After a visit to Starbucks first although in the back of our minds we were thinking of Costa all along, we walked into Starbucks to find it was smelly, dirty and no different from the bad past experience. We quickly walked out and around to Costa.

The staff here and in other Costa's locally are very pleasant and welcoming. It was clean, tidy and we were served quickly, the staff kindly bought our order over to the table for us and the drinks were nice and hot, food was as expected for pastries.
