Our amazing waiter went out of his way to ensure our service was super.
Tonight after a day of feeling crummy, COVID was negative, we decided to go out to eat. After a brief wait we were greeted by the most outgoing and friendly waiter. He also looked extremely exhausted. We offered him a seat while we discussed our order. There was just something about him that told us we would have outstanding service tonight. Our drinks came right out along with our chips. He table checked every chance he could, he was busy staying on top of all his tables and if he forgot something he talked to the table to reassure they would get it asap. A food runner brought our food. We got settled with our meal and there was something ( those who handled it know) in my food. Our serve came by to check and this is when I knew his customer service and restaurant skills were above par. He examined my plate, looked at me and quickly without a scene or word removed the plate as quickly as it was placed. He came back so embarrassed and apologetic. He sat down next to me and quietly apologized and explained our meal was comped, we explained he didn’t need to do that just my meal was impacted. He said the manager insisted. During the time between my meal being removed and him coming back the server loudly asked what happened and if something was in it. We were trying to get him to lower his voice as to not cause an issue with the other guests. He didn’t get the hint. we told this to the manager as she made change for us to ensure we left our excellent waiter a tip. She said she would be handling that also. When our waiter, man I wish I got his name, came back we told him to take a seat. We told him how amazing he was and we could see he was exhausted. We handed him his tip and i swear he had tears in his eyes. He told us we didn’t need to that. He told us he worked three jobs! I asked him what he did and one of his jobs is for New Horizons at the Audrey Grace house. I told him I was a CASA and we chatted about the children. I told him they are lucky to have him because he is just a good people person. He also delivers for Walmart. He is trying to pay his way to attend college to become a lawyer and eventually a judge. I know in todays society the food service industry was heavily impacted by COVID. Most places are short handed, constantly changing staff and low work within. I also know customers have lost their ability to be patient and kind. Tonight was an example of being understanding and patient in a place that has struggled to meet the demand of their customers but want to make it right. While I could come on here and throw a fit about my meal I chose to come with the positive and kindness. I hope the young man who took care of us tonight fulfill his goal. His personality really resonated with me, he wants...
Read moreThe food was good unfortunately our waitress was disrespectful and horrible. We have a newborn 10 days old the waitress attended to us, was polite and brought us our food. She attended two other customers and then later passed by and asked us if we wanted more. I replied yes and as I was waiting I fed my son. She brought my soup and that was the last we saw of her or heard from her. We waited and waited, after some time she passed by and asked if we needed anything else I replied yes we would have liked more soup but unfortunately we are no longer hungry and upset so I would like to check. She apologized rudely and asked if we wanted a manager I was too upset to talk anymore to anybody. So my wife replied no just a check, she apologized again and I told her just bring me the check she then replied well I saw you attending to your baby so I didn't think you needed anything. I did not let her finished that sentence and ask for the check again. I had to ask at least four or five times she then pointed to the little tablet on the table and said you can pay there and left as we were paying and getting ready to leave she came back and asked if there's anything we needed. We have always had a good experience there at Chili's. It is one of mine and my wife's favorite places to go, sad to say we will not be going back anytime soon it was bad enough that she dismissed us and never returned to see if we would like anything else because we were attending to our son. I left my name and number for someone to call me about our experience and yet you have...
Read moreNEVER GO TO THIS CHILI'S!! IT IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PLACE EVER!!! This place does not deserve a star. Worst experience EVER. Waitress was very unprofessional and was the worst waitress I believe I have ever had. Food was horrible. I ordered a steak medium. My steak was over well done. It was so well done that it was literally burned. My son ordered a kids pizza (he did love there pizza-not anymore). He said it was gross. My boyfriend ordered a bacon burger. He said the burger was dry and bacon was burned. Another person at the table ordered a steak as well....same thing. We didn't have time to wait for them to re-cook our food. Normally, we don't complain and leave good tips. We asked for A1 to help with the horrible steak. We were brought a empty A1 bottle that literally had one drop of A1 in it. The waitress wouldn't wait on us, because she was too busy visiting with a bunch of her "guy" friends there. We let her know about the food and she informed us the manager would be over to speak with us. The manager never showed. They did give us a 4 soda discount. WOW. Another waitress did help us out. We left no tip. There was a survey on our pay pad...and did I answer their questions!! We went to IHOP the next morning and it was slammed....even with waiting for over an hour and a half for our food the waitresses were great and apologized, food was great and we were okay and...
