Urbane Cafe — Restaurant in Agoura Hills

This restaurant has never disappointed me in the almost 10 years I’ve been visiting. Everything on the menu is delicious, and it’s always well prepared. The staff are friendly, although there have been times when I thought that those at the register could some professional communication training. The food itself is fresh and that bread is UNREAL (treat yourself and get a loaf to go sometime). Don’t drink soda, so not sure about the flavor/proper mixes, but the tea is usually good. It’s always very clean inside and there’s lots of seating outside as well. The only negative things I can think of are some poor communication at the register and the prices steadily climbing. Stopped here and picked up an Abbott Southwest Salad 🥗 100% plant-based. I must say it was pretty darn good. I believe it’s a special right now, not on the menu. Has avocado, carrots and chorizo. The dressing that it came with was like a chipotle mayo. I really wanted to go for the California Sandwich because I’ve had it before and know it’s good, and one of my favorites. I was sooo tempted, but trying to stick with low carb. Got my salad and of course realized later they tempted me again by sticking a big piece of tasty looking bread in with the salad. Oy! Testing me. Now that I know, I’ll ask to hold the bread next time!

I love Urbane Cafe!! I was in the area visiting some family and decided to introduce them to the wonderful dishes. I went inside and place orders to go. They block off all the tables and practice social distancing which is a huge plus. The staff was incredibly nice and they were helpful with explaining dishes to my family that had not been before.

My husband accidentally ordered a tuna salad when in fact he wanted the sandwich. We arrived at the house and he realIzed he had ordered the wrong thing.
