This used to be a 5 star review, but after the past few months, my new take on this location is: 'Actively Avoid' and here's why.
I'd grown fond of wendys over the past few years, being my meal of choice once or twice a week after working a late night delivering pizza. They always had great food quality, great service quality/time, and decent prices.
Over the past year the deal got even sweeter with the mobile app, including weekly or monthly coupons/deals that reappear.
Over the past few months, the drive-thru has gotten progressively worse and worse. I've had 20-25 minute waits, then 30-35 minute waits about a month ago, and now tonight a 45 minute wait in the drive-thru. I can go to walmart and buy something that will be done cooking in the microwave quicker than that, or wait for a pizza to be delivered. But including the time to drive to wendys, tonight was over an hour long trip to go through a drive thru....
As of late, the food quality and service accuracy has gotten worse. I've been randomly asked to pay an additional dollar on a mobile order with no explanation able to be given. Thinking the app messed up, I paid and found out after getting home that someone at the store modified my order to add avocado to the sandwich for no reason, leading to me paying more for something I ended up throwing in the trash.
Tonight, I got an order of bacon pub fries. All of the fries were hard and stale, overcooked and old? But the shredded cheddar cheese was unmelted on top still.
These issues aren't occasional any more, and have become a daily standard for this location. The drive-thru line wrapping all the way around the building back onto itself; sometimes customers blocking the entrance from whiskey rd to join the line, consequently blocking anyone from looping around the parking lot or pulling in.
Bottom line, if you want 'fast' food there are 10 other places a stone's throw away and I would bet that most of wendy's potential customers have already started going to.
Hell, the parking spaces are empty and you are serving 10 customers per hour in the drive through. That can't be a good sign. Adapt, send an employee out with a tablet to take and queue orders in advance so you are working on more than 2-3 orders within a 10-15 minute time span. Read moreThis was an evening visit and I went in for the first time in a long time. It will be my last for a long time again. It wasn't filthy but it could have been cleaner. That wasn't my biggest issue though. I am all for technology - work in it and love it! However, if I come in to dine, I do not want to order my food on a kiosk while watching my children and all that. It's much easier for someone else to manage the computer and take my payment while I tend to the littles but I had no other option here. That was so frustrating especially since the first kiosk wasn't working correctly. Then, the guy behind the counter called my name about 4 times to give me my cups, then back to verify my order, then something else and again to pickup. It was ridiculous and not quiet by far. It was like this for everyone. To top it all off, our food was cold!!! I was already too tired and irritated to take it back and leave. We got through it and said we would not be back again for quite a while if ever. So disappointing. Our last few visits at this store, the service from the drive thru has gone down, I guess it's the whole store. Richland Ave seems to be better at customer service...
Read moreStop here tonight for a 4 for $4 and I must say I was unsatisfied you can't expect a lot for $4 but if you promote this meal you should serve it with pride. The french fries seem to have been recooked and burnt as well as the nuggets. The burger one side of the bun was hard and the other side was fairly soft. Took two bites of the burger before I realize that and mentioned it to management as I should have with eating one nugget and two bites off of a burger realizing that you were not going to be satisfied I spoke to the manager and showed him and he nodded his head and looked at me as to say what what are you want me to do and Carries on with his job.
