Today, my daughters & their competition cheer team competed in a US Cheer Productions competition at the John S Knight Center in Akron OH. To say I'm ENRAGED is an understatement.

While coming down the escalator after awards, my oldest daughters foot got stuck in the side of the escalator. She was hysterical, and very obviously in pain. I asked someone who I could talk to to get insurance information, because I was taking her to the hospital. They refused & a member of the Akron Police Department very rudely told my 10 year old daughter she was lying, that she simply brushed her shoe on the side and it could be wiped off. His response when the girls coach said the shoes need to be replaced was "I think you mean cleaned off, she scraped them, she's fine" She's 10 years old. Multiple people seen this happen, & I'm 100% sure she's not lying, the shoes are literally ripped. At this point I'm FUMING. The owner of the venue, RUDE and SO UNPROFESSIONAL. Akron PD, MORE RUDE & MORE UNPROFESSIONAL.

Just got back from the ER, deep tissue bruising caused by crush injury. 😔

Shout out to Akron, Ohio Police & John S. Knight Center for disregarding the health of my 10 year old today, and for being so rude and disrespectful. We...

Will never bother with this facility again. Didn’t even get to hold our company event there as I changed my mind QUICKLY because I was taken back by the rudeness of the VICE PRESIDENT and their tech MANAGER. Called them both separately on the phone to ask a very simple question (as both a customer and also a potential business partner) and not only did the tech manager hang up on me but when I called back and tried to speak to the vice president, he said “time is ticking, get to the point”. As executive staff members, I was floored by the way they were okay with talking to someone and presenting themselves that way. I am sure the facility itself is beautiful and a great place to host an event but I refuse to provide such a rude EXECUTIVE team of people with thousands of dollars to hold such event. I will say, however, their administration manager , Diane is very sweet and nice and a pleasure to talk to unlike her higher ups....

I was very excited to go to the Akron home and GARDEN show, however was extremely disappointed that the vendors represented 98% home improvements and only 2 garden displays. I was expecting to see outdoor gardening and landscaping ideas but I was surrounded by window, roofing, gutter, dish tv, power washing, heating and a/c vendors. If I had known that gardening ideas/vendors were not going to be represented, I would not have gone. It should've been correctly advertised as a home improvement show, NOT a garden show. I did purchase a few interesting and very reasonably priced metal yard art pieces so it wasn't a complete loss, but overall the show was a huge disappointment and I believe...

We went to the 43rd Annual Christmas Free event for Children's Hospital. It is a Free event. We parked in the parking garage, which has a skywalk. There is a food court. A High School choir sang a selection of lovely music. There are trees displayed in two areas, one is a winding walk through, and the other is in a huge convention room. There are also wreaths and other beautiful handmade items displayed, most have been SOLD. There is a Raffle going on. There is an area where you can buy gifts, bows and other items. It goes on until Sunday.

Visited the John S. Knight center for Oddmall. The building is easily accessible from the parking deck across the street. This parking deck is free on the weekends. The center is clean and well staffed. Oddmall is always a joy. It was much smaller now in 2022 than in previous years. I imagine that Covid is still affecting in-person events in some ways. I always enjoy this event. It is definitely the most unique event in the area. Vendors sell everything from clothing, to hand made art, to shocking and sometimes disturbing memorabilia.
