I've been able to see performances at both their summer spot at Stan Hywet (those gardens, dinner alfresco before a show you guys!!) as well as at Greystone Hall in down town Akron, and each time the sheer passion for the work is infectious. The chemistry of the casts, the understanding of the piece, and the attention to detail- its the sorts of things that elevate theater to a true experience . ( not likely something easy to do with Shakespeare, I would think) I am always captivated by the choreography (or staging, rather), and then, theres the music. Oh, the music. I have cried laughing at some of the pieces they have performed, and they are damn fine musicians to boot. In all, OSF really creates a night that is unique, engaging and time ever so well spent.
