Rubber City Comics — Local services in Akron

Probably one of the best comic shops in the downtown Akron area. Tons of long boxes to browse through. All of the big publishing companies like Marvel & DC but they also have a wide variety of smaller press lines (IDW, Skybound, Boom, ect.) as well. Plenty of different memorabilia to collect whether is Funko pops or vintage action figures. A good amount of key comics if you’re interested in collecting rarer books. The guy who was working in the front was incredibly cool and knowledgeable. If you had a question he’d help you out to the best of his ability. I would highly recommend everyone to check...

I just came in to see the rubber city comic shop and all it’s majestic glory and man was it a let down....Hardly any new books on the shelves and the items looked so old...I picked up a couple of books and the guy behind the counter (bald guy glasses Velcro shoes) could have cared less about my business...he didn’t ask if I needed help with anything and he wouldn’t end his conversation with one of his buddies long enough to tell me the total or even thank me for my business. So my advice take your money somewhere else where you might be appreciated a little more....came all the way from...

I might have been spoiled by Vault of Midnight in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but this place was underwhelming. They didn't greet us or even acknowledge our presence when we came in, nor when we left. They have an acceptable amount of comics but not many hard cover anthologies or the variety I'm used to. I (personally) feel like they have too many Funko characters compared to what they could fill the space with. However, if it is the only game in town, it does meet the criteria of offering graphic...
