I went here with my mom and girlfriend for a special Mother's Day lunch. We had a fantastic time trying out different dishes and enjoying the flavors of Vietnam. Here's what we loved about our experience:
We started with calamari and veggie spring rolls, which were so yummy! The calamari was crispy and flavorful, but we wished it came with the squid legs because they're the best part. The veggie spring rolls were fresh and crunchy, and we couldn't get enough of them.
I also ordered the Thai tea with coconut cream, and it was delicious! It had just the right amount of sweetness and the coconut cream added a creamy touch. I really enjoyed sipping on it throughout the meal.
Now, let's talk about the pho. Oh my goodness, it was amazing! They served generous portions of noodles when we dined in, which was great because we got more food that way. The broths were so flavorful, and each bowl was like a taste of Vietnam. We were really impressed.
The service here was quick and attentive. The staff took good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. It made the whole experience even better.
The ambience of the place was like being in a traditional pho spot. It had a cozy and welcoming feel, and we felt comfortable right away. It added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
I highly recommend this place The food is delicious, especially the pho, and it's some of the best Vietnamese food I've ever had. If you're looking for a great dining experience with fantastic flavors, this is the place to go. Trust me, you won't be...
Read moreLong wait. Thinking it was going to be something special. 3 other tables that weren't even seated yet got their orders before ours. Getting ready to walk out 35 min later. The warm soup came as I was putting my jacket on. Once eating. The owner/manager came to ask us how everything was. I explained everything to her as I have done here. She apologized and asked if their was anything that she could do. No thanks... She left and came back 10 to 15 minutes later and told us according to her staff...we only waited 15 minutes. Ok. Believe that. As we were getting ready to leave. The table next to us. Finished one plate they shared/hungry. And asked for other items they had ordered earlier. They had a baby....child and two adults. I had asked them if they got their stuff in a timely manner. They stated that they didn't. And were still waiting for items... There were plates there that looked good.... But from my experience. There are many other places to eat in Alameda other than having to wait on mediocre...
Read moreJust had the most incredible evening stroll through the neighborhood and stumbled upon a hidden gem! This place serves up Oxtail Phó like you've never tasted before. Imagine a 30-hour bone marrow broth infused with star anise, cinnamon, and other spices, topped with charred onions and ginger. Served with delicate rice noodles and garnished with fresh onion and cilantro – pure perfection!
But before diving into the main course, I couldn't resist starting off with an appetizer of Bone Marrow on toast. Let me tell you, it was absolutely delish! The rich, buttery marrow paired perfectly with the crispy toast – a match made in culinary heaven.
To wash it all down, I indulged in an A-Town Pale Ale Draft from the Island's very own Faction Brewery. The crisp, refreshing ale was the perfect complement to the savory flavors of the phó and bone marrow.
Overall, it was an evening filled with delightful surprises and delicious flavors. I can't wait to go back and explore more of what this neighborhood...
