We came in for a good family meal - but we got bs instead.

Lori was the waitress who said to the bar tender, "I have too much to do and I didn't hear her say two," as I voiced my concerns to the bar tender (who said she was the supervisor) but did tell me she was not the Real supervisor, about my family's experience as guests. I said, "The waitress kept walking away when we were placing our order with her. We clearly said 2 orders and there are clearly 2 adults at the table and 1 hungry child. I feel that she was very Not attentive, and her attitude is definitely not necessary, and I should not be dealing with any bs like this when I'm spending My money in here." The bar tender, who also refused to give me the phone number to the REAL supervisor, replied with, "If you want another order of something, we can go ahead and make it." Full Story: While placing the order, Lori kept rushing us to make our order by her continuous "Ahh huh, and?... Is that it?...Is that it?" and also kept walking away from the table to tend to other people's tables while she was supposedly taking our order. She walked away 3 times without saying anything - so in turn, we were confused as to what was going on. No "excuse me, I'll be right back"... Nothing.

  • We Overlooked this * So... The drinks arrive: Lori forgot my child's drink. She dropped off the 2 waters and 2 adult beverages... says Nothing to us, and walks away. We had to literally wave her down and ask her where my child's drink was.. The food arrives: The waitress only brought out one plate of fish/fries. While placing the order, We both Clearly hand gestured "TWO orders" - As well as spoke clearly to her - "TWO orders".. The waitress was fully aware of the price of the plates we ordered, but did not share that information with us during our order. (This information was NOT on the menu). We were a lot taken-a-back from this unnormal behavior that we totally forgot to ask about the price, as well. Again, Lori walked away we we were trying to speak with her about placing another order. So I walked to the cooks myself and placed the other plate order with the cooks. I asked the cooks how much the order was and Lori raised her voice as she was walking towards the bar "26.00!" - I kindly asked the cooks where to supervisor was because Her behavior was very unnecessary and uncalled for. They told me that there was No supervisor/owner and the closest thing to a supervisor at that moment was the bar tender. So I went over to speak with her.

The waitress charged us for 4 alcoholic drinks in which One drink SHE THREW OUT purposely. We had not left the building yet and she was already clearing the table. When we spoke up about it, she refused to remake the drink nor compensate us for it. The bill was 111.00.

The lack of concern for the way they allowed this treatment to happen is CRAZY! - They were not...

F Street Station reportedly has the best fish and chips in town. That was great for my wife who ordered that and really loved it so, it's probably good for you too if that's what you're looking for.

I went along to support her in this endeavor, but I'm a vegetarian and the offerings for me are limited. They have one vegetarian item on the menu, a pasta...I'd been a bit over-pastad on this trip so I didn't want it. I would have loved it if the French Onion Soup was vegetarian (but it wasn't) so I ended up ordering bread. Hurrah! And availing myself of their famous (and free) carve your own slices of Tillamook cheese station, despite the warning sign stating the cheese was for display purposes only.

So the main plus for me here is that I got to see my wife really enjoy her meal! Plus, seated at the bar (it's a pub so first come first serve, every person for themselves seating) the bartender (and our server) was really nice.

The Bread I ordered was a mediocre baguette...I was happy to have it to concoct myself a cheese sandwich from the slices I carved myself. (I mean free cheese ups any place a star in my book.) Fries and garlic bread were also available.

I also got the house cabernet to drink. It was poured from the end of a big bottle and tasted like it may have been open for a couple of days.

They don't have a cocktail menu but they do have a full bar available (and nicer wines) so know what you want going in.

For me this was a 2 or 3 star experience with very limited options for vegetarians, and what I got wasn't great...but because my wife thought the fish and chips was just about the best she'd ever had, I'm giving a four for the benefit...

Really enjoyed my first visit here for lunch, went on a Wednesday at the recommendation of a friend to try the special (the sirloin burger). We got there a little early and got bar seating right away and were greeted by almost every staff member as though we were friends.

The place quickly started to fill up with locals and regulars who the staff knew by name and they were all very friendly. We felt at home while the staff started to finish prepping and lining up the plates and items for the orders that rolled in. The conversation and atmosphere were great from start to finish, and we really felt at home. By 1130, you couldn't find a seat and I think that's enough evidence to tell you that this is a place worth going to.

The food was amazing and the cooks took great pride in their work, and the quality was definitely there. The sirloin burger was the best burger I have ever had... well seasoned, cooked to a perfect medium, and composed of only the best ingredients (seriously, they refused to serve buns that weren't perfect). We also got to try a little halibut as well which was absolutely fresh and phenomenal.

Yes, this appears at first glance to be a local/townie bar... but it's really good food at a great price too. I am by no means a native Alaskan or a tourist, but this experience was reminiscent of being "at home" and hanging with friends. I had some of the forbidden cheese, got a death threat from the hostess, and left with a full stomach and a smile all in the same trip.

I can't wait to go...
