Alaska Veterans Museum — Attraction in Alaska

Great military museum in Anchorage. We got a wonderful tour from Ted. We were able to see many rare artifacts, especially from the Aleutian campaign, but including all sorts of interesting items from the other major wars of the 20th century as well. I am aware of no other museum that has so much (or frankly, any) battlefield hardware from Attu and Kiska if that's a topic of interest. Traces the entire history of Alaska's involvement in World War I, II, Korea, Vietnam, the Cold War, and post-Cold War eras. Well...

A good little museum but filled with lots of history of the military side of this community. I wish there was more space for the displays and better preservation of artifacts being done but it's a great museum and I recommend it over the other museum in this area. A nice museum with many artifacts from Alaskan veterans covering many different time periods. The WW2 sections and battles for Attu and Kiska were very interesting.
