After 3 bad experiences at this location it's time for a review. The first 2 experiences were dreadfully slow. In the 15 to 20 minute range AFTER the order was given. I thought it may have been because it was during an off time. After finally getting my food those orders were hot, fresh, and mostly right. On the first order they forgot the mayo that I asked for and on the second order they added green chilies despite me saying just cheese. Both mistakes more of an annoyance than anything else. Today was the 3rd time I've been here and it was by far the worst. Just before lunch and there was only 1 register open shop there was a line almost to the door. I saw the manager come out and Ihoped that he was going to get things squared away but that wasn't going to happen. He took some money out of the regusters then scurried back to his office. Apparently a line to the door is no big deal for him. Once the second register was open they managed to get the line cleared relatively quickly. Now instead of a line to the door they had a room full of people waiting for the food. After 15 minutes (yes, I checked the time on the receipt and the current time) I asked what the hold up was. This caused other people (waiting even longer than me) to voice their concerns as well. One other they forgot to make the patties, another order they made and put in the warmer because they thought it was a pickup, and 2 they miraculously got to the customers. After telling multiple people multiple times what my order number was I was finally told it wasn't ready. (Really, it's not ready? I guess that is why I'm standing here having this conversation. Instead of eating a burger, hot dog and fries.) The cashier told the prep person to go ahead and make mine which she did surprisingly fast. Had she been working that fast already there wouldn't have been a drinking room full of upset customers. I left the restaurant 18 minutes after ordering. I came to my hotel room (literally a block away) to eat. The chili dog definitely had chili. It had enough chili to submerge the hotdog it was supposed to be on. Needless tip say I had to eat it with a fork because there was no way to eat it with your hands. I pulled the small fries out to feel the cold greasy texture. It was so far from the normal quick, attentive, and accurate service that we had become used to, that we probably won't go back.. maybe a different location but most likely not this one. It was awful! I had my order taken from the passenger side. The kid taking my order stayed on the driver's side while taking the order. I have no idea why. Because my order was very specific, I had him read it back to me. He got most of it right, and I corrected what was wrong. Again, had him read it back to me. That time he got it right. We waited 30 minutes before flagging him down to ask about my order. As he approached the vehicle, he pulls his pad of paper out and says, "What can I get for ya?" Um.... My order. He's clearly embarrassed, goes in to get it but only comes back with the drinks! Which were wrong! Had I not paid $.95 extra per drink for vanilla flavoring, I would have let it go. But I did. Then another 10 minutes goes by and he brings out the food. Which was so wrong I don't even know how else to phrase it. Part of the order was an Itsa combo w cheese and bacon, no lettuce, no tomato, and no onion. It came out with no cheese, no bacon, and ONLY onion! We ordered 3 meals, all with a large seasoned fries. What we got was 3 small regular fries. Again, had I not paid for the difference, I probably wouldn't have cared at this point. But I did. When we asked for the manager, the kid freaks out! I told him I wasn't angry with him but I still wanted my food corrected. The manager came and offered a free large order of fries to make up for the messed up order. When I asked her what it would take to, you know, fix the original order that I had already paid for,she said it would be another 20 minutes because they had to "take care of the customers in front " of us! What?!?!! Those people are already gone!! Ugh. I just left. By the time I got home, our food was cold, and upon looking at the reciept,we realized the 3 brownies I ordered were missing. 🙄 All I could do at this point was scrape the onions off my cold burger and force it down. I have been a blake's customer for 30 years. Never again!!!!
I called in an order for pickup and my order was taken by a guy named Kevin. It was simple... 1 Lotaburger (larger) and 1 Itsaburger (smaller). The order was repeated to me on the phone as 2 Lotaburgers... I figured that was a simple mistake and I would just take the two larger burgers... No problem. When I got to the place I got 2 itsaburgers. I asked why this happened and said i wanted at least 1 larger burger and Kevin denied taking the order all together. I knew it was him. I said just give me a separate Lotaburger and I would even pay for this 3rd one. Kevin rang me up and charged me for it. It rang up correctly on the screen. When the burger was complete I grabbed the bag and left because I thought for sure it was right this time and didn't want to hang around the lobby any longer because of COVID-19. When I got home the second bag had 2 itsaburgers in it!!! I called the restaurant back and asked to speak to a manager... It was Kevin in the phone again and he said he as the manager. I explained the situation again and Kevin said it must have been his register system that was the problem, I agreed. Kevin said he was going to look into the issue and took my name and phone number to call me back with a resolution... He never did.
This location is unprofessional as this guy Kevin is terrible at his job. I don't usually bash a place/person this hard but this is the second chance at this location and I even dealt with Kevin again. Don't go here!!!! The service and standard of blake's food and employees has dwindled to unrecognizable incompetence compared to what it used to be. I would give 0/5 stars for this location if it...
