This place was definitely worth the drive across town! Croissants were delightful but messy and sticky some little hand wipe squares would be convenient. Ribs were the best dish tonight, shrimp was also good wish they served some sauce with it, Chicken Tender Platter was really liked by the majority, nothing to special for me the ranch was a bit bland, honey mustard was a win. Caesar Salad was the best I’ve ever had in my life so there ya go. The pot pie was good, the flaky crust was definitely delicious although pot pie filling lacked some seasoning perhaps it just wasn’t “wow”. The coleslaw was a waste completely bland & for a “Scratch Kitchen” you would think they could hit this one out of the park even I can whisk together a better slaw sauce!! - this actually just lost a star on the review for me in combination with the ranch sauce; tasteless.
Dine in experience:
Walked in about 8:00pm Sunday night there were 4-6 people waiting for seating we got offered to find open seating in the bar which is highly recommended you do want to experience eating in front of this fish tank!!!! We were able to catch the last 5 minutes of the AFC Championship game and it was not crowded or not to loud.
Our server, the guy was extremely nice he walked me through the whole menu as it was our first time in. However management seemed to be heavy on him during service was unfortunately got him confused a bit as it took him 10-15 min to return to our table without drinks stating sorry he’s usually back way sooner but his manager got upset with him and that he got in trouble… first for me but I was okay with it and appreciated the honesty. He took our order for food since we weren’t sure if we would return soon enough for us to order & he went and got some drinks for us.
There was confusion with the little pay machine and when it was time to pay we had no option and had to wait another 5-10 min for our waiter to appear to give us a paper check. Which the price was $60 for 3 entrees and 2 raspberry teas & 1 strawberry lemonade which were delicious very good pricing and portions!!
While waiting a table behind us was being served and the bartender was giving them drinks it seemed like but I did see food already on the table anyhow they spilt something all over someone on a booth and they were visibly upset. It seemed to be a long night but maybe management is pushing their employees too hard. Not to sure, other than this it was a great experience and would have gotten 5 stars but I have to be fair.

Read moreI have been to busy to give my review and I'm approaching a month since my visit. I also waited to see about my refund. I am aiming to eat healthy due to mental health issues and genuinely wanting to get better. I was extremely warn out from my week, starting at a gym on top of school (finishing my AA at CNM) and work (at home / not helping mental health). So, I can not tell you how relieved I was to find healthy and very appealing healthy items at Cheddars, and they are loved by my cousin. This concluded my choice and I ordered online, due to a busy schedule I did NOT want to deal with silverware and selected plastic ware option online. I only had dressing with my salad, so I didn't need much at all. I'm an $18 order and when my meal is delivered I gave a $5 cash tip also asking "Is my plastic ware in there?". I received the answer yes. I got home, not only was there no plastic ware, there was no dressing. This upset me, I tried calling to speak with a manager and work something out- I wasn't nice, to be frank this was purely stupid and unnecessary to me, plus I'm hangry now. Without customer service skills no one knew how to deescalate the scenario and I kept getting transfered and no manager. So, I drove back with my meal (piping hot) broke my heart to do this to the cooks. I was a server for 13 yrs, worked graveyard by myself serving. When it is not busy and you have a section of your staff that is devoted to to-go's as their job, not remembering the plastic wear for a to-go and dressing for a salad is incompetency. Plus, I did NOT receive the service then for my tip. Bringing food to a customer is part of the hourly pay. So, I speak to the manager and communicated my disappointment- she tells me she can't return my cash tip (had I called the police I could have made a big deal about that) you legally have to return all my money back when I return your food untouched. She said it'd be returned on my card. Only my meal was returned. The to-go server and manger both lied and stole from me! It's sad to have to ban a restaurant due to the incompetency of the...
Read moreMy family & I usually eat at this place whenever we come into town & we've always enjoyed the service/food. Today we decided to dine in at Cheddar's & our experience was absolutely disgusting & unprofessional. My mother & I dined in with my two children (3 year old & Newborn) My 3 year old loves to play with the sugar packets (as does any child at a restaurant) it keeps her entertained while we order. The server comes up, I kept seeing him glancing at my daughter & already had a face on him of annoyance. He introduced himself, took our order & before walking away to put our order in he said "Could you make sure to clean up those sugar packets" very condescendingly as well.
I have worked in the service industry for many years. For one, we as servers are paid to serve the tables & also clean them (if there's no bussers) Also comes the tip with that maintenance. Regardless, that level of unprofessionalism was overstepped. Does a server go up to their table & say "Make sure to clean up your dishes & not leave a mess for me" ?? no, you hope people have the human decency to clean after themselves but as part of your job role it's your responsibility to do it. To be telling customers that are dining in & eating to clean after themselves, Its overstepped especially for your job title.
Regardless, I live In a generation where we respect the service industry. I as a mother have always felt obligated to clean after my children which I always do. My child has always played with the sugar packets but I organize them before we leave & make sure there's no mess.. But to be told to clean up after my child like I'm a child myself & also told to do this in an place I'm dining & paying to dine in makes zero sense. His level of arrogance & disrespect should not be in a job title that requires customer service, especially when you're in a family related environment. I requested a new server 'Angel' & he was absolutely lovely & we appreciated his...
