I know you don't go to chili's to have your mind blown but I can probably count the number of times i've been to chili's on one hand because every experience is just like this. The only reason we went is because we had a giftcard. Surprisingly quiet for a Sunday afternoon, so we were in high hopes. Sat down to a dirty booth and had food all over the blinds. Very appetizing. Got the skillet queso - salty and cold. Saying lukewarm would be too generous. I ordered the cilantro carne asada and my bf got the santa fe salad. The food took a while to come out, which was surprising considering how dead it was but hey I'll wait willingly for good/decent food. The grilled chicken on the salad was practically dehydrated and cold, and everything on my plate was cold except the tortillas wrapped in tinfoil. Now I'm not being dramatic when I say cold I mean cold to the touch! So I'm assuming it sat out, and nobody took it while it was hot/fresh, makes sense as we waited a long time for it to come out. We also sat for 10 minutes with our food with no utensils and when she came back and we asked for some were told that they didn't have any and were having to clean them as people were done because they were so low. Waitress apologized for the cold food and took it and had it "refired twice". I'm not sure what this means but everything had taken so long at this point we asked for it to go instead. Still tipped 20% because it's not the waitresses fault but a little disappointed In the lack of effort and care for such a slow afternoon. No manager ever came by our table either. I'm glad that giftcard is gone. Will be not be back and do not recommend.

I called to make a dinner reservation. Annie, who answered the phone said “we don’t do reservations... BUT we can set aside a table for you”. Attempting to make her feel better about her poor vocabulary, I went ahead and “set aside a table“. Unable to let it go for some unknown reason, she gave me an entire lesson over the phone on the difference between a “reservation“ and “setting aside a table“. Even then, I politely exited the conversation and simply canceled once I received the text. Ironically, the text said that I had a “reservation“. She made me feel so uncomfortable with the conversation and her attitude about the whole thing that I refuse to eat there now. I was not put on this earth to make you feel better about yourself sweetie; I strongly suggest that you seek help for your inferiority complex. Additionally, I called the manager on Saturday and told her about the incident. Her exact reply was “Chili’s does not technically do reservations“. To this I Reply, please see attached text. If it talks like a duck and walks like a duck.... btw, not to act like a Chili’s employee but a reservation as defined is the acting of reserving something. Chili’s, and most restaurants do this specific action right now due to COVID 19. So TECHNICALLY, yes you do reservations. I believe that the manager I spoke to has some inadequacy issues as well. Personally, I don’t really care what you call it; as long as you don’t imply that I’m the “stupid” one, while you’re doing it. It's sad that a customer has to be the mature adult, while the employees and managers can't just politely give me a RESERVATION.

Canned response from chilies call center says volumes. Your form only allows 600 chars, so I'll let my review stand. Not happy. Staff shortage is understandable. Making people stand around for half an hour because you took out the benches during the Reno to expand the bar isn't Filthy menus im scared to touch is outrageous. And easy to fix. Waiting over 40 mins to get our food because you made the burger and quesadilla and put on the hot tray to overcook and dry out (assuming they started out fine which I'm not sure they did) before realizing we didn't have any of the appetizer is crazy. Server was amazing and was really working hard to give great service but back of house was a nightmare. I was up all night with stomach issues that continued all day. The burger was ok but I shouldn't be tasting it 17 hours later. but I should have known better when my burger came out soggy and burnt and with nothing but the outline of where the cheese was before it sat out on a hot table waiting on apps. Not the level of service I expect from chilies, but honestly what we have to expect now. It's been three years since I've had a good meal there. I used to eat chilies two times a week Figure it out. I get staffing issues, but is it really a case of "we can't find anyone to work" or just a case of "we are not willing to pay more than the legal minimum so we can't find skilled staff?" Again, server was amazing! hostess needs to clean off menus once in a while and back of house needs some remedial training. Don't see myself going back any time soon.

On February 25th, I submitted an online to go order. My confirmation told me that my food, over $100 worth, would be ready by 6:05. I planned dinner around my husband's lunch break and another person with limited time. I got to Chili's around 6:10 and was told they're still working on my order. Around 6:15, someone came out and told me they were out of the brisket, which was in two items, and asked if using carne was fine or if I wanted to reordee. I just wanted to get our food, so I said the carne worked. Our food didn't come out of the kitchen until 6:40. I was told by the woman at the desk that they would send me coupons in the mail for the time inconvenience and to leave my name, number, and address, which I did.

After getting home, we found out nearly every dish was missing things, including things I was charged for. I ordered free chips and salsa from the rewards program. I was given a box with nothing but a cup of salsa. Fajitas were missing most of the dressings and the extra tortillas I ordered. They must not have noticed anything about the brisket until well after I got there to pick it up. It looked like all the other food had been sitting there for 40 minutes. Cheese melted through pizzas and no one was happy.

The next day, I called and spoke with a manager. The paper that I wrote my personal info on was never given to anyone and he informed me that I should not have already been offered coupons because that's what he was trying to do. I told him I didn't want to go back there, so I don't want the coupons. He asked how they could make up for it and I told him I want my money back. It was so bad. I have never had this bad of an experience ordering to go food from anywhere. The manager told me that he could submit a request and I would be contacted by email.

It's now been a week and a half and I've heard nothing. I got a "sorry for your inconvenience" apology, but that does not make up for the missing items that came along with meals, the missing items I paid extra for, the pizzas that my children wouldn't eat because they looked gross from sitting so long, my husband having to go back to work without eating because no one bothered to check our order until well after I was there to get it.

They did an awful job and have done nothing but offer "coupons" to make up for it. (Which I'm sure have conditions or limits and are meant to bring our business...
