This was the Denny’s I always chose to come to before any other in Albuquerque. I’m sad to say that in the last few visits, it has gone downhill significantly. I showed up Sunday noon-ish with my niece & nephews as I wanted to treat them to breakfast before spending the day together as I don’t often get to, due to a busy work schedule. Upon arriving, one of the front doors was shattered so we walked around to use the other one, no big deal being that it’s Albuquerque. However, once inside, I was completely turned off to not be greeted by either worker at the front. One of them, a busser/server, it seemed like with shaggy, outgrown hair, looked at us and walked away without saying a word. Nobody came to help us for about 10 minutes. Not even to let us know someone would be with us shortly. So I started to look around & was even more put off by the environment they had people dining in. There were not one, not two, not even 3 but 6 dirty tables that had not been cleared. Full of dirty dishes all over. Mind you, we are the only people waiting at this point & nobody is anywhere to be seen. I strongly contemplated leaving but my niece and nephews were set on pancakes & we had already driven across town to eat here. Shortly after, more parties start arriving and FINALLY workers start bussing tables. The busser mentioned earlier, the boy with shaggy hair, walks up to a table, grabs the cash tip from it & as he’s about to WALK AWAY without clearing it, he sees me staring at him. So he turns around and grabs just a couple plates from it and leaves. He never returned to finish cleaning the table. Instead, he starts making rounds at other tables as if to beat other bussers to the tips meanwhile a lady busser came out to finish whatever he didn’t. The lady busser I’m mentioning ended up being our waitress. She was amazing & is truly the only reason I’m giving 2 stars. Once seated, the service was great & the food was also good. But the experience as a whole has definitely put me off from ever returning to this location as it felt pretty mediocre. The busser with shaggy hair left such a bad taste in my mouth as far as tipping cash. I didn’t even feel safe tipping cash out of fear that my server, who worked for it, wouldn’t get it, so we just tipped on the card. Some time management & customer service training would probably improve the atmosphere significantly. Won’t be back to see it though. Just hoping they really take these reviews into...
Read moreI travel a lot for work and generally speaking I can trust that I will receive consistent service at dennys, how everb this one I got something so much more!!! When I walked in the foyer it smelled Ike oranges it was amazing!! It was clean and well lit, I walked in and was immediately greeted by a young man who welcomed with a smile and a welcome in like I was being b invited into a family members home. He must have sensed that I wasn't feeling well and when I asked for a booth he said "I have one right here with ur name on it" I said you don't know my name yet . He stopped thought for a second n n asked my name I told Cole, he said that's his brother's name n so we were already like family! It made me laugh, he sat me at the brother told me my server was going to be daisy but that she had just gotten sat so she would be by in a ,moment , he asked if I'd like a hot chocolate or q coffee or a strawberry lemonade ( didn't even know that was possible until he suggested it) I ordered my drink and he brought it back right away n said daisy would be right here but his name was Sean and that he would check on me in q bit , daisy came by and greeted me and made me feel so welcomed as well, I ordered my meal and she suggested cheese and green chili on my hashbrowns and I have to say it was the best suggestion ever!!! I will never eat hashbrowns again with out cheese and green chili, Sean came by and checked on me and we chatted for a minute and I had told him his manager should know that him daisy and who ever cooked my meal should be applauded they made me feel welcomed and home and they just really drove the standard way up!!! They are the best team here . Sean thanked me and said he was the manager and I was shocked, I have never met a gm in any restaurant that took time to get someone drink that checked on then and made me feel like we had known each other for years normthe gms ask how qwas , but Sean knew it was gonna be amazing so he said it was the best right? Read moreOh my goodness, what a experience. Denny's on San Antonio/I-25 NE Albuquerque,NM I called in my order (went to a external call center) one cheese burger and a berry crape). Picked it up and they (Denny's cook) placed the dessert inside the same container of the cheese burger and fries. Actually the crape was sitting on top of the cheese burger plain. It did not have any berries or sauce just the crape itself. Well my daughter got to work and sent me a picture. This initial order was picked up at 11:05 am. So... At 11:20 I went back to Denny's and showed them the pictures of the paid ($23) food and receipt and asked to speak to the manager. The young Lady (cashier/Hostess) said " He's busy, how can I help?". I explained the issue. She asked for my phone and took it to the back to show the manager. She then came back handed me my phone and said she would get my order in. Now it's 11:45am. I sit and wait and she (the same hostess/cashier) brings only my cheeseburger and fries to me at 12:35 and said they were still getting the berry crape. So I again wait. At 12:45 I asked to speak to the manager again because now my food it getting unpleasantly cold. the same hostess tells me I'm sorry he is busy. If you want you can leave your name and phone number and he will call you. So I asked for his business card and she (the same hostess) said, he doesn't have any, so I asked his for his name and she tells me " "Matt". So now it's 1:05 pm and she brings me the crape without any berries on it. So I politely tell her, there's no strawberries. She turns and tell me, "oh we are out.", I then asked her, " do you have any fruit?" She says, " no we are out". So I just left feeling frustrated and disappointed Especially for waiting for so long just for two items. As I'm writing out this review I received a callback from the assistant manager (2:00pm same day) "Matt". He was very kind and listened to all I had to say. We were able to resolve this whole inconvenience...
