⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Experience at Maldo’s Steak and Sea I had the chance to attend the soft opening at Maldo’s Steak and Sea tonight, and I have to say, I was impressed. With their grand opening coming up this Thursday, they’re off to a strong start. The place is beautiful—high ceilings and modern decor make for a nice atmosphere. It’s the kind of restaurant that feels inviting, whether you’re out for a special occasion or just treating yourself. We started with the Shrimp Empanadas, which were fantastic. Golden and flaky, these empanadas were stuffed with shrimp and melted queso asadero, and the morita mayo with pickled red onions added a nice touch. 🤌🏼 For my main course, I had the Smoked Chicken. It’s mesquite-smoked half chicken served with smoky salsa tatemada, frijoles charros, cilantro-lime rice, and a fresh arugula and radish salad with poppy seed dressing. The skin was crispy, and even as someone who’s not a fan of cilantro, I loved the rice—it was great! 🤤 My partner chose the Braised Short Rib in Mole. This overnight-braised short rib topped with Maldo’s signature mole sauce and crunchy pepita seeds was delicious, served alongside golden plantain molotes. We finished off with the Mexican Hot Chocolate Molten Cake. It was rich and decadent, served with warm cinnamon crème anglaise, a crispy “buñuelo de viento,” and vanilla gelato. Honestly, I couldn’t help but eat it all! I also want to give a shoutout to the General Manager, Julio. He was very involved in the soft opening, ensuring everything ran smoothly and that guests had a great experience. Our server, Julia, also took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. The service was top-notch. Overall, I’m really looking forward to Maldo’s grand opening. If you’re in the area, make sure to check them out!

Excellent service! True fine dinning experience! Food is beautifully presented and full of flavor in every bite! We chose Maldo’s to celebrare a recent A&M grad, and we were all very pleased with the attention and superb service received by the entire team. From the minute you park the valet guy is friendly and willing to take your excellent picture at the entry. We were greeted by several managers ( JJ, Mario, and Isabela) while at the table which was nice and they made their walks through out the night. HUGE Shoutout to our serving team JULIE and TONY, you two are an amazing team THANK YOU for a wonderful dinning experience. Now let’s talk FOOD and DRINKS!! Let’s say WoW! We were a table of 6 they bring small warm baguettes ( bolillos) with refried beans that are great, we ordered guacamole and the amazing tuna tostadas 😋⭐️delicious in every bite. On this occasion I ordered the Linguine Pescatore and my niece the blackened Salmon we were both very pleased with presentation, flavor, and quality. Drinks🍸🥃 I had the black pearl martini that was perfect in every sip I took and went well with food. My brother in law had a regular old fashioned and also a smoked one ( presentation for smoked serving is nice) For dessert they provided a complimentary Congrats dessert for my nephew’s girlfriend and we ordered the churros con cajeta and the Mexican Chocolate one to share. Ambiance is 5 ⭐️s with a live pianist and singer both are truly amazing and sets the tone to your fine dinning experience! See you soon!

This place has potential. The restaurant is simply beautiful, detailed and very spacious. Our waiter was attentive and welcoming. However, the food could definitely use some work. My boyfriend and I came for a date night. We started off with the shrimp empanadas (3), they were pretty tasty which made us excited for the main course. I had the Crispy soft shell crab tacos and my boyfriend had the Asiago pappardelle pasta. The tacos were LOADED with grilled onions which was a complete turn off. If I order crab tacos the last thing I want to taste is a mouth full of onions at first bite. The onions completely overshadowed the taste of the soft shell crab. The pasta was extremely simple. Basic Alfredo sauce which was pretty watery and topped with only 3 shrimp. When the waiter came to check on us he noticed I hardly ate the tacos. He insisted on me trying something else. I ended up ordering the birria tacos and took them to go, the tacos were very flavor less. Overall, the dishes could definitely use some revising. With the customer service and beautiful atmosphere being a strong suit, I’m sure this place could be something great if they put more focus into the food.

Maldos is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with warm hospitality, an inviting atmosphere, and the comforting scent of expertly prepared dishes. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between upscale and cozy, making it ideal for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or a celebratory night out with friends. Every detail, from the lighting to the music, is carefully curated to elevate your evening.

The food at Maldos is nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish is beautifully plated and bursting with flavor, showcasing a clear passion for culinary excellence. Whether you’re indulging in their signature entrées or sampling a few appetizers to share, you can taste the freshness and quality in every bite. The menu is diverse yet cohesive, offering something for every palate—from tender steaks to vibrant vegetarian options, each with its own creative twist.

What truly sets Maldos apart is the attention to detail and consistency. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely excited about the food they’re serving. They’re quick to offer recommendations, share the inspiration behind certain dishes, and ensure that every guest feels taken care of. The service alone makes you want to come back, but when combined with the incredible food, it creates a dining experience that feels truly special.

Maldos also excels in its drink program. Their wine list is extensive, carefully curated to complement the menu, and their craft cocktails are thoughtful, balanced, and delicious. Whether you’re sipping on a house-infused cocktail or enjoying a bold red with your meal, the drink pairings enhance the flavors and add another layer of enjoyment to your night.

In a world full of trendy restaurants that focus more on aesthetics than substance, Maldos is a rare gem that delivers on every level. It’s the kind of place you rave about to your friends, bring your family to for special occasions, and return to again and again. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and book a table—Maldos is truly...

📍 NEW SPOT ALERT ✨ Maldo’s Steak and Ocean – Greater Greenspoint Area 📅 Open just 2 weeks ago

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting Maldo’s Steak and Ocean, located right off 45 and West Road in the heart of Greater Greenspoint. Let me just say — this place is a whole vibe.

🌟 Ambiance: Beautiful, spacious, and clean with plenty of parking and security on staff. You feel safe and welcomed from the moment you pull up.

🍹 Drinks: I decided to support the bartender-in-training by ordering a classic Old Fashioned. He accidentally made it with tequila (😅), but hey, we walked him through it — and for his first try, he did okay!

🥩 Food: Now THIS is where they shine! 10/10! My steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The chef even came out personally, sliced it tableside, and brought out four different sauces — which were great, but honestly, that steak didn’t need anything extra.

🥗 Sides & Bread: The sides weren’t exactly what we’re used to, but after making a request, they came out just right. Oh — and the bread came with refried beans… I asked for butter instead. 😂

💁🏽‍♀️ Service: Excellent. The staff was kind, patient, and attentive. The drinks need a little fine-tuning, but they’re still learning, and I respect the effort. We all start somewhere!

💰 Pricing: Think Steak 48… but right in Greenspoint. Hmmmmmm

👠 My advice? Have a cocktail 2, 3 0r 4 before you go, because once you're there, one good drink might be all you need! 😉 I’ll definitely be back — Thanks for lunch I had a great time....

📸 I’ll drop pics in the comments soon — y’all gotta see this place for yourself!
