Peking Express — Restaurant in Alexandria

We have always loved Peking Kitchen/express and frequently order from them because of their fresh taste, generous portions, and consistent quality. Our usual favorite is Beef Broccoli and Mixed Fried Rice, which has always been a great choice.

However, our recent experience was quite disappointing. We placed an order over the phone, and unfortunately, the quality did not match our expectations. The Beef Broccoli was mostly broccoli and watery sauce, with barely any beef to be found. It felt like we ordered “Broccoli with beef-flavored water” instead! Similarly, the Mixed Fried Rice did contain prawns, but was missing both chicken and beef, making it far from the balanced dish we expected.

Online and phone orders should be handled with more care. Customers trust that they will receive exactly what they pay for, and such inconsistencies can be frustrating. Great value for price. Supper fast delivery. After trying resturant first time through UberEats. I stopped by one time for Pickup realized they have their own delivery. Make sure you Support resturant by ordering directly from them, only $1 delivery fee, I always get my food within 20 min of ordering. Driver in silver Toyota always sharp & polite. (Still puts on new gloves & wears mask for every delivery) always working hard. My favorite-Chow Foon Rice Noodles Taiwan or Singapore Style- also great spring & eggroll for only $1.5 each Pad Thai could be better, least favorite is curry chicken. My wife and I used to absolutely love this place. We lived at the apartments right behind it and would order take out at least one a week. I'm not sure what has happened there in the last few months but the quality has dropped all around. Not only is the food not as good as it used to be, but today my wife ordered a Chicken fried rice and received a shrimp fried rice instead even after having a conversation with the individual taking the order about whether the egg rolls have shrimp since she hates shrimp and all of the places around here have switched to using it for some reason and this is like the third time in a row something has been wrong with the order.
