Got to this place and was first very happy with the parking situation. No parallel parking needed, small parking but it’s a parking lot! 🅿️
Walked in and got greet right away by staff. We had a party of six and ordered so many different types of food. After we place the order, everything comes out fairly fast so I would rate service to be amazing. The restaurant is small but very roomy and cozy. Food ratings in my opinion: Fried chicken wings: crispy, seasoned, perfect. Comes with chili sauce Gyoza 🥟 tasted home made and different. Crispy. Pad see yew: Noodles and protein was perfectly seasoned, tasted perfect with the jalapeno Pad Thai: A bit smaller portion than other thai places but was seasoned well. Massamun Curry: Interesting taste and delicious with rice. Not my fav but it’s everyone at the table’s favorite. Whole fried fish: The star of the show!!!! I love this dish and so does everyone else. Super crispy, sauce that comes with it was amazingly seasonsed. Price is reasonable. drunken Noodles: yum! Always one of our go to dish at thai restaurant! Fried tofu: Crispy, not enough sauce but still really good! Papaya salad: Not my fav as it seems to be missing a little sour but still good. Banana roti: MY FAV. It’s soft on the outside and inside. Perfect amount of chocolate sauce and condense milk. I would be able go each the dish by myself. Fried banana and vanilla ice cream: fried banana egg rolls are crispy and so good witth ice cream. but nothing special Mango sticky rice: I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to bring 5 of these dishes home because whyyy is it so good! The sticky rice is moist, soft and perfect with the mango. Lots of mango and rice but i should have bought one to bring home because the taste is amazing! My favorite thai restaurants mango sticky rice!
Over all, with 12 dishes later, between the 6 of us, the price total was $187 which is not bad at all for alexandria area. If I’m ever in the area, i would love to...
Read moreTraveled over to Van Dorn area today to try new Thai Restaurant. It was a cold November day so immediately I knew I wanted Thom Ka Gai. As someone who's worked in the industry and made this soup in restaurants and at home, I was blown away with how flavorful it was. My girlfriend wanted to try their curry called Kanom Jeen to warm her up. This was a dish she had never tried before and it was very flavorful. Most Thai curries in the DMV area that we have tried are sweeter. However Thai Lemon's was not which was perfect. We get curries a lot so were used to it coming with a side of rice, their Kanoom Jeen was served with steamed noodles which we enjoyed! The other dish I ordered was Kua Kling, a ground pork spicy dish. They were very accommodating to adjust to my spice level. Even my girlfriend who doesn't typically eat pork tried it and loved when she paired it with her curry, "it was spectacular." For desert we devoured the mango sticky rice. It was out of this world, and the rice even had a green flare to it which I have never seen and sticks out.
Their atmosphere is very homey. I like the neon logo sign on the wall which is a perfect spot for photos. Theres plenty of cozy and cute decorations on the walls. The server was very attentive.
If you are in the area definitely check out Thai Lemon for a...
Read moreVery disappointed with this place. Its unfortunate because the food is amazing. Just moved to the area and I'm a thai fanatic. My first night here ordered pad noodles and the basil shrimp fried rice. My delivery was quick and I'm a firm believer in tipping so I gave the guy 6.00 on a 30.00 delivery. My pad noodles were Lad Na which to me are gross.
The very next day I decided to dine in to check out the place that would be my spot. Horrible service the shrimp wrapped apps were not that good but the green curry and my beef and broccoli was great. I asked for a can of sapporo she brought a bottle and said no cans after she opened it so I said why not.
My issue is that .....i ordered 2 entrees and they gave me a small little cup of steamed rice. I asked for another cup of rice because I only got 1. I packed up my leftovers for the road got my bill left a 9.00 tip only to realize that I was charged 3.00 for that rice. I've eaten Thai food all over the world. I've never been charged 3.00 or any cost for a portion of rice that costs pennies. By no means do I want nor ask for anything for free but that's ridiculous. And that why you will not receive a single dollar from...
