my boyfriend and I were craving the pozookies and figured we would also do dinner at Bjs. We get there our server comes over greets us. I ordered the grilled chicken Alfredo pasta. I let the waitress know that I wanted my chicken blackened and on the dryer side/ burnt side. She said okay and typed it into the tablet. Then she took my boyfriend’s order, he got the Surf and Turf medium well. She typed it in the tablet as well. We waited about 35 mins before our food came out. The food comes out LOOKS amazing. I try the chicken and it wasn’t what I asked for what so ever. My boyfriend cuts his steak and it is way overcooked. Not the slightest bit of pink. Around 10 minutes later our waitress comes back and ask if everything’s good. I let her know the chicken isn’t & I don’t like it, along with my boyfriend’s steak way overcooked. She lets us know that she’ll talk to her manager and see what he says. She comes over 5 mins later saying he’ll come talk to us. About 10 minutes after waiting the manger shows up. I explain to him that the chickens not what I asked for and that I let her know how I prefer it and that he’s more than welcome to take it and fix it. He lets me know that he can’t take the chicken back, and if I want another one that I’ll have to wait 10 to 15 minutes. I let him Know don’t worry about it I’ll just eat the pasta. He talked to my boyfriend about the steak and agrees it’s overcooked and it’ll be 10 to 15 minutes for a new steak as well. My boyfriend says he’ll wait. He said he would come back and let us know something. Another 15 minutes go by we’re waiting. Waitress pretty much stopped engaging with us after that. Nonetheless the manger comes out with another chicken that was worse than before and a steak for my boyfriend. The steak was fine, but at that point I was over it and didn’t even want desserts. Asked for the bill and a to go box for the pasta and new steak. They ruined dinner for us. Not to mention the upcharged us $5 to redo the chicken I DIDNT ask for & charged another $6 for the steak they messed up. Definitely...
Read moreI don't usually come here, but my husband and I have frequent guests who come down for a good meal. Our group of friends have always loved Bj's so we came here. The experience started rough when we came in first and the host sat about 6 tables that came in after us before they sat us. Even when we told the manager that the person was trying to seat us after they were done sitting a 15 top but walked away they still sat other tables besides us. Then we had to wait for a table to be cleaned off. This was when there was multiple tables open. I'm pregnant too which didn't help me expecting to be sat but I'm stuck standing there when the host said it would be "just one second." By the way this was after 5 minutes of us waiting at the front. When we finally got sat we thought it would get better. But no. The server the whole time made us feel like a burden or afterthought. She kept glasses and menus on a crowded table and looking around seemed to do the same with others. I asked for a salad in place of one of my sides. I had to ask about it when my meal came in. I got it after my meal was finished. Then my baked potato wasn't cooked and was rock hard so had to ask for a different side. When we were 80% of the way through our meal the server asked if we needed anything when all our drinks were empty. It was like we had to tell her every little thing to do as a waitress when she should be checking on her tables and servicing to avoid any issues. My friends had to remind her they asked for a kids lemonade and it took a while even for that. I was watching another server doing great with her tables and was envious of the good service. Throughout this whole experience there was a constant beeping alarm that did not make the experience any better. When giving our check the server didn't even say thank you for coming. My friend had to apologize due to them making us experience it and said they will never come back here when they come down. Just very shocked at lack of care from this place. We will never be back with just ourselves or the constant...
Read moreExtremely Disappointing Experience – Urgent Need for Better Service Standards. Customer was the most ignored 'thing' in this restaurant!"
We had one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever encountered at your restaurant on the evening of Friday, June 27, 2025. What was supposed to be a relaxing night out turned into a frustrating and disappointing ordeal, mainly due to shockingly poor service.
At first, everything seemed fine. The server greeted us promptly and was friendly. But after the initial interaction and the delivery of our starters (which came out fairly quickly), the service completely collapsed. It was as if the staff had vanished into thin air.
For over 30 minutes, no one checked on our table. We weren’t offered water, no one asked if we needed anything, and attempts to get the attention of any staff were met with indifference or outright avoidance. The person delivering the food looked disinterested and avoided even basic eye contact — something we found disrespectful and unprofessional.
Even more concerning, this wasn’t an isolated incident. As we looked around, we noticed several other tables experiencing the same lack of attention. People were visibly annoyed, some even discussing amongst themselves where the entire waitstaff had gone. It felt like the dining area had been abandoned.
For a restaurant that appears to pride itself on ambiance and experience, this level of negligence is unacceptable. It felt like customers were an afterthought — ignored and left to fend for themselves.
This wasn’t a case of an overly busy night. The place was only moderately crowded. It was a failure in basic service management, staff engagement, and guest care.
We’re not usually ones to complain, but this experience left such a negative impression that we felt compelled to speak up. If management doesn’t take this seriously, you risk losing loyal customers and damaging your reputation.
We hope this feedback serves as a wake-up call. Great food can’t make up for a complete lack of service. ...
