After walking in with my husband and taking a look at the bar and seeing what type of beverages they had to serve, we knew that that was a bad sign but we still stayed for our reservation. We arrived about 30 minutes earlier and the gentleman at the front looked confused when we told him we would sit at the bar and wait for our table when one was to come available. By the time it was our reservation we proceeded over to the host table and noticed there were a few tables that were emptied and we wondered why no one had notified us when we were waiting at the bar for a table to open up. After we sat down the waitress was great, actually she was the best part of the entire dinner. Whatever it is that they call crab cakes tasted like mashed potatoes inside, in other words they were extremely soggy. The dip that came along with it was just sad. Next up was the imperial dip and the dip itself was subpar just to say the least. Our dinner entrees were hard to digest, extremely disappointed in the food and lack of choice in their selection of beverages, I knew better but I still ordered the cheesecake. One bite in and needless to say it was a complete disaster and didn't even taste like a cheesecake. It tasted like a cheesecake that was made days earlier and that sat out and did not have the consistency of an actual cheesecake. I felt sad for the wait staff seeing two of the waiters meeting to apologize because there was no bread to serve. Plenty of people around us that you can hear talking about the food yet it seems like the people who work here or at least the chefs or managers are oblivious to how it actually tastes. Before I forget don't get me started on my husband's French fries, not only did they look Brown but they also looked like they sat in old oil that has been in a fryer for a week. My husband and I are used to dining a few times a month and we have seen it all but this place by far is what we would consider to be a mall restaurant, in other words only good for someone who's passing through. All of the servers look like they were in college which is not necessarily A bad thing but I'm sure they hear the complaints that the customers must be giving because there's no way I can see this restaurant going one night without some...

The staff were sincere and unpretentious making the dining experience thoroughly enjoyable. However, when wild salmon is characteristically identified but trout and shrimp are not (universal issue at chain restaurants) then the omission is quite intentional.

The side dishes were a mixed bag. The "au gratin" was probably done by someone more familiar with mac-and-cheese than ensuring that the cheese layer had been lightly browned. The coleslaw was dry. The menu said "seasoned vegetables" but the serving was just boiled broccoli. The mashed potatoes had a good dose of freshly diced oregano.

The entrees were BFG (blackened, fried or grilled) correctly but the accompanying sauces were applied in a baffling manner. The lobster was dry and butter had to be requested. I guess the chefs need exposure to Troute Almondine since the restaurant's experiment with pecan and parmesan on a butterflied trout misdirected the finished product to more of a frying dish. Granted that there are challenges with fresh tuna being seared properly but when advertised as "sushi grade" then the expectation is to be able to see sushi grade in the middle. Unfortunately the tuna was uniformly cooked to some phase past medium rare.

Even though the place was full during our visit, the items arrived in the correct spacing between appetizer (which came through very quickly) and entrees. I felt that the place was properly staffed to serve couples or large groups.

In summary, I would visit the place again after a reasonable gap. It does not serve Faux Cajun and the entrees are not unnecessarily loaded in...

I've been to other bonefish grill locations multiple times, never had any issues. Tonight we tried the one in Allen and I must say.... I was very disappointed. I don't know if they were short staffed or if everyone was new or what was going on... but we sat down at about 6:15ish.... and didn't leave till almost 9... everything took FOREVER to get to the table. the bang bang shrimp showed up really quick, so good start... then we sat there for at least 50 mins until I asked the waiter for a status. he went into the kitchen and came back about 5 or so mins later with the food... the imperial Cod is a dish I get often, and it's always been perfect, but not this time. It was like it was sitting under the heat lamp for a long time. The edges were hard/chewy and the fish was over cooked. on top of that, one of the side was the coleslaw which didn't show up till I was completely done with the entrée. I did mention my dissatisfaction to the waiter and he just said mentioned that he's new and still getting the hang of things, which is fine.... but typically when a customer is unhappy with things, you go tell a manager to come check on the table. nope... nothing, he brought the check, I paid and I left. I'm not a confrontational person. so leaving a review is the only way I can get this horrible visit to this bonefish grill location off my chest. it really stings paying nearly 100$ for 3 people and the only person that was happy was my 7 y/o with her kids entree. Edit: forgot to update this. I've been there twice since this review and had good...

First time experience at this restaurant, my significant other and I were wanting a quick bite and I was in the mood for a great fish and chips entrée. Upon entering the establishment we were greeted with a warm welcome, and the host wanted to know how our day went, which was nice. The atmosphere is inviting and can be family oriented or an intimate party of two for a date night. Our server, Elmer was attentive and informative of the meal and the specials. I got the dragon fruit mocktail with Yuzu and honestly, I got hints of bubblegum instead of a refreshing mix of Yuzu/mint and dragon fruit (1/10) do not recommend this drink. The bread and dipping oil that came out for starters was amazing. The bread was crispy on the outside soft on the inside the dipping oil was perfect to pair with it (10/10). We also got the crabcakes which were nice but we’ve had better (6.5/10). I had the fish and chips entrée with a side of garlic mash. The garlic mash seems like frozen potatoes, no flavor(0/10). The fish and chips seemed to be so crispy however in the middle of the fish the breading was soggy and doughy… the fries were not anything special (1/10) . My significant other had the lime cilantro salmon. It came with a side of corn almost like eloté.. but everything fell short in all honesty … the salmon was bland and lacking flavor , the lime cilantro sauce did not make up for it (4.5/10). Overall we would not be back to this restaurant. But the service and atmosphere was great.

2023: Decided to visit for lunch and I was definitely disappointed. Service was off- servers couldn't get things right the first time- taking the order, splitting the check. I ordered the Lunch Tacombo with shrimp for one and fish for the other. The presentation was so poor, and while shrimp tacos were good, the fish one had dehydrated, chewy slivers of fish that I couldn't even eat. Mashed potatoes were not fresh. Bread was good. House salad was huge, but I did not like the flavor of the dressing. Presentation for the salad was also severely lacking. I definitely will not be returning for lunch any time soon, and if dinner is this way, then sadly I'll have to pass... 2019: The salmon. Omg. Try it with the teriyaki or asian sauce, I don't remember exactly what it's called but it is delicious. Friendly service. Busy place. Making a reservation online isn't a bad idea if you're going on a typical Friday night or weekend. They have bread with oil dip. Carabbas is better, but this is good enough to fill the wait for food. Nice for date night or GNO. Also, sign up for their emails and get coupons =)
