A Top-Tier Experience at Pluckers in Allen – Friendly, Accommodating, and Consistently Outstanding
I don’t often take the time to write reviews, but after having so many exceptional experiences at the Pluckers in Allen, I felt it was absolutely necessary to share just how outstanding this location truly is. From the food to the service — and especially the people — this Pluckers sets itself apart in the best way possible.
Let me start by saying thank you to the entire staff, who work so well together to create an environment that is not only welcoming, but genuinely enjoyable. The atmosphere here strikes the perfect balance between fun and professional, and it’s clear that everyone on the team is committed to making every guest feel valued and taken care of.
A very special thank-you to the amazing hostess, who always greets guests with warmth and professionalism. She’s gone out of her way to accommodate me and my puppy, Snoopy, more than once, and her kindness does not go unnoticed. Not every restaurant would be so flexible or pet-friendly, but the team here consistently makes us feel like we’re part of the Pluckers family.
Now, let’s talk about the service — because it truly deserves its own spotlight. If you’re lucky enough to be seated in Chelsea’s section, you’re in for a treat. Chelsea is one of those rare servers who delivers exceptional service every single time. She’s attentive without being intrusive, always on top of drink refills, and somehow manages to keep everything running smoothly while still making each guest feel like a priority. Your drink will always be ice cold, your food hot and fresh, and your experience seamless.
I also want to give a huge shoutout to Madeline, who brings such a warm and positive energy to every interaction. Whether she’s helping on the floor, checking in with guests, or just offering a smile, she brings a level of hospitality that enhances the overall dining experience.
And of course, Yaresi! Another fantastic member of the team who deserves recognition. Yaresi is incredibly helpful, kind, and has a wonderful way of making guests feel welcomed and at ease. She contributes so much to the friendly and well-organized service that makes this location stand out.
Each of these team members — Chelsea, Madeline, Yaresi, and the gracious hostess — bring something special to the table. It’s that kind of teamwork and positive energy that transforms a good meal into a memorable experience.
As for the food: it’s exactly what you want from Pluckers — bold, flavorful, consistent, and fresh. The wings are always crispy and perfectly sauced, the fries are golden and seasoned just right, and everything comes out hot and exactly as ordered. It’s comfort food at its best, and it’s always served with care.
In a time when truly great service is becoming harder to find, Pluckers Allen sets the gold standard. It’s more than just a restaurant — it’s a place where you feel welcomed, appreciated, and well-fed every time you walk through the doors.
To the entire Pluckers Allen team: thank you for creating such a special environment. And to Chelsea, Madeline, Yaresi, and the incredible hostess — you are the reason this location is such a standout. You’ve made me and Snoopy feel at home, and we’ll continue to come back because of you.
Highly, highly recommend this location for anyone looking for consistently excellent food, top-tier service, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. You won’t be...
Read moreFirst visit to Pluckers. Got there lil after 2pm today. 20 minute wait which was great considering it is a Saturday. Got our drinks fast. The appetizer wasn't too long of a wait. The wait for our food was unacceptable! Nearly a hour for food. I kept telling my husband I was ready to just leave. He wanted us to stay since our kiddos were hungry and he wanted wings. He hoped it wouldn't be too much Ionger. Usually by the time you wonder where the food is, it comes. The wait continued and our waiter finally came and apologized. Said there is an unknown issue in the kitchen. This was unacceptable for management not to come to tables and acknowledge the problem. Luckily we were able to adjust our schedules due to this problem. I wish that this would have been brought up prior to our order so we knew whether to stay and wait or just leave. I told the waiter this needs to get passed to mangement and he said he "will". I still was ready to leave!!!! No management ever came. DISSAPPOINTMENT! For us to spend over $90 no alcoholic drinks just family of 4. 3- 10 pc wings combo, corndog and mac n cheese, 4 drinks combo app. Nothing special. Could get a steak faster and better service somewhere else. Many other restaurants would have given much better service. The energy walking in wasn't right. I should have felt my gut and just walked out but we wanted to give this a try. This was not a happy 1st visit. Luckily the wings were pretty good. We have been to a steakhouse many times, year after year. Have come across a couple incidents there in our many visits. Mangement usually comes to tables making sure everything is fine and then when there is an issue they acknowledge and usually takes off an appetizer or adds a dessert or something. Things happen which I understand. Seems like many businesses are still short staffed. The problem is accountability. Pluckers seemed to not have anyone there who cared there was an issue. Of course the server is going to come and apologize but I have a feeling the problem was there before we ordered. If there is a shortage or a back up on orders let people know before ordering and before taking in more orders. Nearly an hour wait for wings when it was not busy at all. Like I said, luckily we could adjust our schedules. Other families may not have had that opportunity.
TIp to waiters there, do not have people wait til they are empty on drinks. When they get close to empty ask if they are ready for a refill. I should not be empty and have to ask for a refill. That was for all 4 of us being empty. He got his tip but something like that makes the difference between a good tip vs great tip from me.
Probably the 1st...
Read moreI recently visited Plucker's and had a horrible and frustrating experience. I specifically ordered the Dirty patty melt with an impossible patty (plant-based) because I am a Vegetarian. To make sure there were no mix-ups, I asked the server multiple times if the burger was indeed the Impossible Burger. Each time, she confirmed that it was. Even when my meal arrived, I asked her again to confirm before eating. After taking a bite I realized that it indeed was a real meat burger and not what I ordered or what the waitress confirmed.
This was particularly concerning and upsetting given that I do not eat meat and haven’t for years. Another server came by, and we asked her to see if the burger was the one I ordered. She took it back to the kitchen to check and confirmed that it was incorrect and that my server put the order in wrong from the beginning even after we asked her many times.
I would suggest that Plucker’s improve communication between the kitchen and servers. Double-checking orders, especially when dietary restrictions are involved, is crucial. The outcome could have been far more detrimental.
The apology offered from the server who made the mistake was not sincere and seemed as though she did not really find the mistake concerning or of importance, which is unacceptable because she has taken away from my personal beliefs when it comes to me being vegetarian. Even seeing her continue to laugh with other coworkers after the mistake was very telling in itself. I hope they take this feedback seriously to improve their service going forward. Simple changes could have prevented this entire situation today. To the server who helped AFTER the mistake, I thank you for your support and apologies even though you did not make...
