Normally, our experience at this restaurant is very enjoyable. The staff is friendly and the food is tasty. But I recently had to cut out dairy and soy from my diet due to my infant’s intolerance and so we stopped going out to eat as often. If I eat anything with dairy or soy in it and then feed my baby, he gets sick. Well, after calling this location about their menu, we decided to try it out for dinner tonight. I explained my dietary restrictions to the waiter and explained that it was a serious health issue. He brought out the chef, who said that she could help me find something safe. I asked every question I could think of about how things were cooked and she assured me that her suggested entree was safe. Unfortunately, I did not discover that she was wrong until after I had eaten the dinner and then fed my baby. About an hour after eating, he started screaming, crying, and getting sick. I called the restaurant to double check what I had eaten and I spoke to a different person who said that my entire meal had been cooked in soybean oil. I know that eating out is always a risk — but you should be able to trust the chef at a restaurant to know what is in the food. It is so upsetting that this chef that we spoke with did not take our food restrictions seriously. And now my baby is sick and in pain and I feel awful for having trusted someone else with our health. We won’t be...

Read moreWent here last Saturday night with my wife. It was busy, which isn’t an issue.
Walked in and a nice girl asked us where we would like to be seated, before I could answer a guy came up and cut her off and said you want to sit at the bar or outside? We ended up sitting at the corner of the bar since that was the only option.
Bar top was dirty and wet, bartender finally came over and wiped it up after 5 mins. We ordered drinks and finally got 1 menu to share. Bloody Mary was pretty good. The guy working the front asked if I would move over to allow a couple to sit at the bar while they wait for their both. Didn’t want to be on top of anyone especially since the lady I had to move elbow to elbow to was hacking all over the bar. The reason I didn’t sit next to her in the first place. But I complied. The couple I accommodated for sat a 2 mins at the bar then moved to their booth, so I didn’t see the point.
This is about 20 mins in, bartender finally asked if we wanted to order an appetizer. We declined and paid just to get out of the situation.
I have had great service and food at the location in Firewheel, but the one at Watters Creek is closer to the house. I think moving forward we will make the drive out...
