I have to say Iām very disappointed with Caneās tonight and will not be visiting this location again. As someone with an eating disorder I struggle a lot with eating out, especially fast food. But after a particularly long day of work I just wanted to pick something up and call it a night. This is not what happened. When I got home to enjoy my meal the first thing I noticed was a piece of white plastic in my bread. I chose not to take a picture at the time deciding that was something I could look past. As I started eating I then noticed a dark hair cooked into a chicken tender. Firstly, Iām blonde so itās obviously not mine, secondly, I attached two pictures so you can really see that it is cooked INTO the chicken & breading. Then I found another mystery item on separate piece of chicken. I was unable to eat my food and am quite frankly just very sad about this turn of events. Canes was a restaurant I thought I could trust and it seems thatās not the case.
Edit: I also put 1 star for service because I was the only car asked to pull forwards and wait for my order which is normally completely fine and understandable but I am confused and was frustrated that every single other car behind me was helped immediately with no hesitation or delay. Unfortunately, upon arriving home, we discovered that the Kidās Meal was missing the chicken strips, and the Caniac Combo was missing the toast. This was both disappointing and frustrating, especially as we had hungry children waiting for their meal.
We called the restaurant to inform them about the missing items. While the manager apologized and acknowledged that this āsometimes happens,ā the resolution offered was far from acceptable. We were told we could receive a refund for the Kidās Meal and a toast if we returned with the receipt. When we requested home delivery of the missing items due to the inconvenience and urgency, we were told it was not possible.
This level of service is disappointing. Given the rising cost of food, it is frustrating to spend a considerable amount of money only to receive incomplete meals. When customers are hungry, they expect a complete and accurate order ā not excuses.
We hope to receive the full refund as discussed, and we strongly urge your team to improve order accuracy and customer service going forward.
