Iād like to first start off by saying, I recently moved to Mckinney. Iāve got an online business so I spend quite a bit of time inside coffee shops and love finding new ones. Armor Coffee has been one of my new favorite spots since the move. Iāve enjoyed the atmosphere when I go there in person to do some work and the coffee is fantastic. And itās become my go-to Door Dash order in the mornings when I donāt have coffee at home.
Iāve never had a bad experience with Armor Coffee, until today. Iāve only ever ordered iced coffee variations from them (whether in person or door dash). Cold brew a couple times, french toast latte a few⦠but 95% of the time, I order a medium iced cookie butter latte with oatmilk.
When Iām ordering through Door Dash, they donāt have the option to order a drink iced. So I have to write it in the special instructions. So Iāve done that.
Door Dash has the option to re-order what you previously ordered with a simple tap of a button. Every other time except for today⦠itās transferred my order correctly⦠with the ICED special instructions and all.
As I said earlier, Iāve never had a bad experience with Armor Coffee⦠so Iāve never had to approach them about any issues. I called Door Dash first and was told to call Armor. So I did.
I explained to Kayla (apologies if thatās the incorrect spelling) who answered the phone for Armor Coffee what happened. That I ordered via door dash like I have before but that the drink showed up hot instead of iced. I told her I wasnāt asking for my money back⦠or for them to re-send me a new one⦠but that I was wondering if I could drive up to their location (about 15 minutes from me) to swap out for an iced one.
I didnāt drink the hot coffee. Not a fan. Team year round iced coffee.
Anyways, she immediately responded in the most disingenuous way. She was rude and there was an immediate tone of frustration. BUT she told me⦠ok. Meaning I could come get it.
I was so taken back by her tone and lack of genuine customer service⦠I didnāt even know how to respond.
After we got off the phone, I literally had no intention of showing up to get the coffee. Just didnāt appreciate the response.
Then she called me back to basically tell me I was wrong. That there was no ICED coffee instructions on the order. Which to be honest⦠she mightāve been right.
All I know (as the customer) is that I ordered it the exact same way I have at least 20 different times since my first order on door dash. By simply hitting the reorder your previous order button. At this point, thatās not even the issue for me. If it wasnāt on there⦠it wasnāt on there⦠and I would move on. Itās coffee⦠not the end of the world. I just wanted to see if we could make the switch so I could actually get to drink it.
But even on the second call, she was just rude.
Now, I have no idea if they deal with this all the time⦠people taking advantage of the system to get more coffee⦠and thatās where the frustration came from.
But as a first timer dealing with them on something like this⦠someone who genuinely enjoys their coffee⦠had a small issue⦠and just wanted to get it swapped outā¦
I didnāt appreciate it. Enough to write this review⦠which Iām not sure if you can see how many reviews Iāve ever left⦠but itās not many. This is not a usual thing for me⦠but I felt it was worth writing down.

Asked if we could sit there since there wasnāt any open places to sit and drink their āreasonably pricedā drinks. They said we could rent the room!!! I asked if anyone was using it. They said no. I asked if we could use it until it is rented because there wasnāt any open no place to sit and the 6 of us just spent a lot of money on coffee and drinks. They said no.

Thank you for your reply to my review of your establishment from erlier today.
However i found it to be very condisending. I went back and looked at the reviews others made that were less then 5 stars and your replies to them. Many of your replies to them were also very condisending. It seems you enjoy having praise showered upon you, but when someone has a bad experiance at your establishment and is willing to let you know so you can take acoutability or strive to become better the general thought in your replys are "O well, thats how we run our buisness and it sucks to be you, now please give us more of your money or leave."
I am very disapointed to see that your business treats its coustomers in such a rude way. First by not seating us unless we pay you even more, and then in the disrespectful and condisending reply to a honest review of your establishment. Your childhood must have been interesting to say the least.
So I conclude with, Good Day Maam. I Said Good Day! (as I walking out of your establishment for the last time and share my experaince wth your establishment with everyone i come accross)

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have always enjoyed armor coffee and their niche items over big chains. My last experience has forever lost me as a customer. Management is childish and unprofessional. I expressed to the manager on shift I believe Megan was her name who called her self the gm which I donāt believe is true. When paying for my order at the window the girl handed the machine back and said I had to do a signature. The way she had it tilted I only saw the signature line and she pulled it back quickly and touched buttons on the machine. I was given no receipt. When I saw the total go through on my phone I noticed it was higher than the price of my items. I called in later and spoke to the manager who did not once apologize and instead was extremely rude and defensive. And made the remark in a smart tone āokayā to my concerns. I told her that was rude and terrible customer service for a manager to have that tone even if the machines auto add tip itās the way she went about handling the call that has lost my business. Again no apology, rudeness, and and no attempt to correct the situation. The cashier earlier claimed to refund the tip which was not as of now. And I donāt mind tipping what I do mind is shady practices, bad management, and poor customer service. Especially as some one who frequents there. And for this particular order we were in line a very long time at the window waiting and they werenāt busy they were talking. The coffee was not good. I asked for Carmel and white chocolate to be added to my latte which Iām sure they did not. They can have the tip but they lost...
