Iâve never drove off without finishing my order but on 5/12/22 at about 8:40p, I did just that. If the employees didnât want to work until 9 pm they couldâve just politely said they were not taking anymore order. I wouldâve been okay with that. Instead, I had a condescending and unfriendly encounter with an employee.
Jimmy John: Welcome to JJ K: OH! Your opened (excited) JJ: What can we get you K: Okay, Iâm going to do 3 little J combos. All 3 sandwiches are going to be the same. Can I get the BLT minus T and add extra lettuce for all of them.
I come to this location twice a week and have always ordered this way, as all the combos I order are the exact same except 1 drink.
JJ: My system will only let me put in 1 sandwich at a time. Thatâs NOT how weâre going to do this! My system only lets me do it one at a time and this is how itâs going to work!
His tone was rude and condescending!
K: ha, okay (I was taken back on how rude and condescending that just was) I would like a lil John combo with a BLT minus tomato add extra lettuce.
Insert long pause. I was waiting for him to put the sandwich order in and then they ask if I would like chips or a cookie. That did not happen and this is how he came back on the intercomâŚ..
JJ: Are you going to finish your order!
K: Iâm not going to do this, Iâm going up the street.
As I pulled around the building an employee was leaving the establishment laughing. They knew exactly how rude that just was and thought it...

I ordered with assistant manager (from my guess based on what she was doing/how others acted) and she was great. I must have went in at a shift change or something, because there were a lot of people there.
As they made my sandwich I noticed one thing after another: Dirty containers and what not scattered throughout the kitchen. Due to the amount of people behind the counter, it was hard for them to get anything done. Containers were on the surface where sandwiches were made. In all my life, I have never seen so much plastic in a kitchen before. There is no soul, no way to really make something and be proud of it. Everything is prepackaged. Most workers just kinda did nothing, pretended that the state they were in was fine.
Now to the corporate sleezeball that will just blame thier franchise owner, who will blame thier managers, I would say that the issues mentioned above are definitely not symptoms of poor discipline, but of the nosyness and micromanagement that is obvious to see from a customer. The young lady manager was great, I blame the corporate systems that are in place.
The high brass of Jimmy John's need to do some...
   Read moreGood Afternoon,
I am writing you regarding the HORRIBLE customer service and conversation I just experienced with your general manager Paul at your Alpine store #463. We are a Repossession company in Michigan located on Bristol road, 2 miles away from your location. A co-worker ordered a sub @ 1:10pm and was delivered a little over 15 mins ago. Other people in the company then decided to order via phone and we were told 15 mins. An hour went by and we called and spoke with Paul who began to tell us they do not deliver to us and we had the wrong store. They did not even call us to let us know our food was not coming. I am very surprise he is a store manager and his communication and customer service skills were very poor. His poor customer service skills lost your store/company future business from us and our sister repossession...
