I used to work near this McDonald's, and ordered lunch here regularly (3-4 times a week) before my shift, usually around 2:30pm. My order was semi-complicated, and it was always correct. Curbside was always much faster than other locations. I would special request my fries a certain way, and they would always accommodate me. Service was always fast and the staff was pleasant. I live on the other side of town, and don't go to McDonald's as much anymore, because the locations near me aren't as good as this one. I regret I won't frequent this McDonald's anymore due to the distance, but anytime I'm near here, I know where I'll stop.
Minus 1 star though for one thing: accessibility. This is not an easy McDonald's to get to, or depart from during peak traffic hours. It neighbors a Sam's Club and a Walmart, both of which are always packed. If you can manage the Alpine traffic and that traffic to make it to the very small parking lot, then you have to hope that the line isn't so long that you can actually pull into the parking lot. If you want Curbside, you actually can't bypass the drive thru line, because the line blocks the way through to the Curbside area. If you have a big vehicle, park in the Sam's Club lot and walk over. And then, if you can escape the parking lot after you've received your food, it's work getting back on Alpine. If you exit headed North, you have to deal with exiting vehicles from Wal-Mart, and then it's a short trip to the light with multiple lanes, and because nobody knows how to drive, it's often a mess. If you're headed south on Alpine, exit to the left, and it's a little easier (although Alpine traffic is horrible), but you're likely not going to do this, because it would be easier to exit south off I-96 and go to the other McDonald's. Horrible location.
If the traffic is light, and it's 1st shift on a weekday, you'll likely get a good experience. Order thru the app. It's quicker, more accurate, and cheaper. And if you have a complex order, get curbside. It's...
Read moreI've gotta say, my recent visits to this McDonald's left me seriously bummed out. The first time around, we ordered four McChicken sandwiches and a large fry, asking for them fresh, and boy, were we let down. Those McChickens were a sad sight—dry, old, dripping in grease, and slapped between stale buns. We even shelled out extra cash for more mayo ($0.39/sandwich!), but it was barely there.
When we complained at the drive-thru, the response was a flat-out "There's nothing we can do for you," in the snippiest tone. Only after kicking up a fuss did a manager step in and fix the fries, but they were reluctant about redoing the sandwiches.
We gave it a few more shots, and sometimes it was all good until it wasn't. Latest round? Ordered five McChickens (yep, same old request for 'em fresh), got told to pull over and wait, and guess what? They were far from fresh. Dry, cold, missing the mayo we paid for, and to top it off, I found some gristly surprise in one—appetite officially ruined.
Then there's the saga of the overly salty "fresh" fries that almost gave my blood pressure a race. Seriously, I've got a bad heart; what's with the salt overload, McDonald's?
Seems like a whole new crew's running the show now. Not sure what happened to the old team, but they sure knew how to do it right. These new folks seem more interested in taking breaks and smoking weed out back than making decent grub—even at midnight when it's dead empty.
I used to believe in this place, but the constant letdowns have pushed me to the edge. McDonald's, you’ve gotta do better. I've seen you at your best, and this ain't it. I'm waving the white flag—I’m out from any McDonald's joints, especially this one. Here's hoping this feedback sparks some change, 'cause customers deserve way better than what I've been...
Read moreI don’t know what it is about the specific McDonald’s but I think they just love to get bad reviews for some reason whenever I go to this specific McDonald’s I have nothing but issues not only with the employees but with even getting my order correct, for instance, the first problem that I had with them I came through the drive-through at 1:30 in the morning because it says this place is a 24 hour fast food restaurant when I pulled up to the window. The lady told me they were closed and that they weren’t serving anybody until 6 o’clock. Second instance that I have had with them, I went to order some food at the drive-through, a double cheeseburger with only ketchup, mayo, and cheese for some reason the guy who was taking my order, kept repeating ketchup, cheese, and onions I had to repeat my order the one specific sandwich at least five or six times and he still didn’t get it. I had to go through with a drive-through code because of the level of incompetence that the person at the register had. Third instance regularly go to McDonald’s and get McDonald’s food getting an extra cup of barbecue sauce is never been an issue when I asked for an extra cup of barbecue sauce she said technically I’m supposed to charge you, but I guess I can give you one. Half the time you guys don’t even remember to put the sauce in the bag to begin with that’s why I have to re-ask you can I get some barbecue sauce? If I could write the crew themselves, I’d say throw it all away get a new crew. This...
