Wendy's — Restaurant in Alton

Well let me start from the beginning... if I could rate this with ZERO-stars I would.. It was about 7:45pm on 03/09/2018 after a evening of shopping the kids see the Wendy’s keychain I purchase every year on my keys(the frosty).. they think of a snack to eat before heading home..so Wendy’s they choose... we pull up to the drive thru to discover one car there at the speaker so we wait.... and wait... and wait... remind you the car ahead of us is now still there waiting.... so at first me and the kids think,””man are you ordering one of everything lady.... “”then all of a sudden the car takes off ... my thinking is...its our turn (at least 10 min later) my kids are saying at the speaker HHHEELLLOOO HHEELLLLOOO cuz no one has even greeted us.. I am looking behind us in the drive thru now and there’s three cars behind us too by this time... so I took enough it was actually about 20 min total that we have waited so far.... remind you we are in a DRIVE THRU OF A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT RIGHT... so I pull around to the window thinking maybe someone will greet us at this point... cuz still we have had no service... let alone a word spoken... my daughter is waving her hands... like hey we just want some quick sandwiches right..... nope the manager guy WITH A HEADSET ON just going about his business we even made eye contact... nope back to us chatting to the other employees....see three other workers looking confused... I mean do you people even work there or just standing behind the counter to have bodies there.... anyhow after about wow a 5 min wait at the window a lady comes to the drive thru window(WITH A HEADSET ON FOR THE DRIVE THRU) and opens the sliding glass and says I’m sorry, we are backed up and unable to take orders right now... the rest of what I said to her I really just couldn’t believe my ears at this point... my main question of mine was... OK THERE IS TWO OF YOU WITH HEADSETS ON AND READY WEARING THEM TO YOUR HEADS (one even the manager) WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE COME ON THAT SPEAKER WHILE I WAS WAITING..... and WAITING.... and WAITING....AND SAY THAT THROUGH THE DAMN SPEAKER... really.... no service not even a word spoken I mean I have never had this bad of service at any restaurant... I mean come on people... RESPECT. THATS WHAT THEY DONT HAVE AT THIS LOCATION I MEAN IT PISSED ME OFF SO BAD I LOOKED AT MY KIDS AND SAID WE ARE GOING TO SHOP AND SAVE TO GET PIZZA ROLLS AND MAKE THEM IN THE MICROWAVE. AND SURPRISINGLY THAT WAS QUICKER SERVICE....WHOLE TRIP INTO SHOP AND SAVE AND THE 3 mins to cook those pizza rolls.... but hey thanks for the I’m sorry (AT THE WINDOW WHEN YOU HAD TO THEN FACE ME CUZ I DROVE AROUND AFTER WAITING 20min AT THE SPEAKER... I wouldn’t expect much out of this place... shut it down Alton... take that 500,000 and replace the whole staff and start all new with people that have respect.. you couldn’t give me a year free food for my family to go to this location... (Alton) I’d decline it I will never go back to this...

I received a call from a higher up from Wendys, the same day i left the survey. He was very appreciative of my feedback and will address this with his staff. He took care of a resolution. ** My sandwich was wrong. We had a difficult time placing order (worker couldnt hear us very well). I ordered a son of baconator combo without ketchup. Only mayo. When given our receipt it didnt say no ketchup. I clarified that it was no ketchup. The worker was handing us the bag as i ask. They were NOT happy about re-making my burger. We left and went to home depot. My husband went in as i was unwrapping my sandwich.... swear to God it had 1/4 cup of ketchup, no mayo. I called the location and she said just come thru the drive thru waited thru 3 cars to finally get to window. I gave her the wrong burger and my cold at this point fries. She gave us a bag with the burger... i ask about the fries (they are better then they used to be) but she acted like they were gold with diamond sprinkles. Just her facial expression and body language was not pleasant! Im sorry i wanted to eat my combo at the same time. Not fries and 20-30 min later my burger! And the coke was not good. They mgr is so tight she might be watering it down. Thats just sarcasm. But it really was bad. I was afraid if i mentioned the coke she would of threw it at me.... i havent had Wendys in A WHILE. Then again $16 and change is quite a bit for 1 combo and 2 jr bacon burgers. My 2nd sandwich was better because the mayo but it was nothing to write home about. McDonalds burgers (im not a huge fan) like a cheapie mcdouble have more flavor then this, $6-7 burger. Some salt or pepper or something would have made the burger better! I SHOULD HAVE READ THE...

I don't like writing bad reviews. I gave them every chance to make my order right. I ordered a Wendy's Meal of Misfortune and had a coupon for buy one baconator and get one for a dollar, and ordered two medium fries and two medium chocolate frosties. It took the girl five minutes to figure out the coupon and apparently she still didn't ring it in correctly. I got the meal of Misfortune without the frostie that comes with it and one baconator and two medium fries and two chocolate frosties. I went back up to the counter and showed them what I had and said I am missing a baconator and a frostie. They said can i see your receipt and i showed it to them. They pointed out the girl only rang up one baconator. I said well i ordered two and showed them the coupon. At which point they bring out my missing frostie so i took that to the table. All of this is taking time and by this point my fries are cold. I went back uo to the counter and overheard the manager tell the cook that the dine in order for a baconator is two not one. I told the girl hey i already got one i just need a second one not two. They didn't tell the cook. So they finally bring me two sandwiches to replace my one missing baconator. Neither one is a baconator. They are both single patties with cheese and two slices of bacon. I couldn't believe my eyes. I took them back up to the counter and said excuse me, these are not baconators. She said do you want me to make you a new one or just add two slices of bacon? I said ma'am these are single patties. This is not a baconator. So she takes one of my sandwiches and puts bacon on it and brings it back. I was like to heck with it and just took it and...
