Stepping into Apollo Burger in the heart of Utah, the air was filled with the savory symphony of grilling burgers and the unmistakable aroma of seasoned fry perfection. The towering sign with its neon lights beamed like a beacon from Mount Olympus, guiding hungry mortals like me to fast-food nirvana.
Approaching the counter, a cheerful cashier with a burger-shaped pin took my order. "One mighty Utah burger, doused in divine fry sauce, please!" I declared with a grin, attempting my best heroic stance. She chuckled, handing me a tray with the number 12, as if I were about to embark on a culinary quest.
Taking a seat surrounded by pictures of the red rock landscape, I felt like I was dining in a fast-food Olympus dedicated to Utah's unique charm. The mural on the wall depicted Apollo tossing fries into the air, each one transforming into a mini red rock arch.
Number 12 flashed on the digital board, and I approached the counter with the anticipation of someone about to taste the best of Utah. The cashier handed me a tray with a burger that rivaled the state's famous mountains in height.
As I bit into the Utah burger, the fry sauce flowed like the mighty Colorado River, blending with the flavors of the beef and crisp lettuce. It was a taste that echoed the spirit of the state itself – bold, unique, and a bit saucy.
Amidst the chatter of locals discussing the latest ski conditions and hiking trails, I couldn't help but smile. Apollo Burger had become a Utah culinary haven, where the gods of fast food celebrated the local flavors and quirks of the Beehive State. And as I finished my meal, I felt like I had embarked on a gastronomic adventure through Utah, leaving me both satisfied and amused in the presence of fast-food deities with a penchant...
Read moreBeing an out-of-stater, it's hard to know where to go when you want to try something new. Boy oh boy am I happy someone told me about Apollo Burger! This was my first time every hearing about this place let alone ordering. I ordered the Teriyaki Burger in a combo and Oh My Goodness!!!! I usually am a creature of habit, eating things that I know but this burger is so good I had to pause eating it to put in this review! Their menu has so mamy different options it was truly very difficult to pick just one item! The fries are great, the apollo sauce is yummy (pretty much your normal fry sauce) and the burger is just awesome! So much flavor!
The service was good for the small amount of time I spent inside the building. They were fast to make my food so everything was hot, fresh and the staff was friendly enough. It was nice that when I told the women behind the counter that I had never been to Utah and never eaten at an Apollo Burger, she was patient and answered my questions.
The inside of the building wasn't anything special. No fun wall art or local stuff to admire for my out of state eyes. While it wasn't very decorative, it was very clean which if I had my choice between the two, I would pick clean everytime.
Overall I will be very sad to not be able to get this super yummy food once I go home. Montana, take note! Now I get to brag to all my friends back home how they don't get to experience the deliciousness of Apollo Burger!

Read moreEditing this review again 7/2024 and adding another star. The place is now always clean and the service is always friendly and helpful. They cook food to order so don’t expect McD’s speed but of course that means the food is 9384% better. Hot and fresh and attractive to look at and delicious. A local gem that deserves regular fans. Rock on.
(Previous reviews follow) Editing this former 2-star review due to a great improvement in experience. I decided to give these guys one more shot and the cashier was friendly and helpful, food (Apollo burger combo) was hot, fresh, and excellent, fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the restaurant was clean. Keep it up and I’ll keep coming back. 2/27/23 about 12:15 pm.
(Original review follows) This location needs help. Manager/owner please reprioritize cleanliness and a cheerful staff, let alone the food. I’ve been an Apollo fan for years in SLC locations and was always impressed both with the quality of the food and with the clean restaurant. I finally visited the AF location 5/11 6:40. The cashier was stoic and indifferent, but the real issue was every table and booth was dirty. There was catchup and fry sauce drips all around the dispensers. Fries were hot but overdone like they’d been “freshened” after sitting around. Western burger was lukewarm and the bun was noticeably cold to the touch. I’ll try one more time before giving up and will update this review if...
