W nail salon — Local services in American Fork

I was very excited to get my nails done here since i looked at the reviews and it all seemed very beautiful. I called around 2pm and asked to make an appointment for a full set for me and a pedicure for my mother. they told me they didn't have any more bookings which i completely understood. i was ready to go on with my day but i get a call back from them telling me they actually do have an appointment for the full set at 5:45. when i get to the salon, they tell me to wait and start with my mom on her pedicure. im fine waiting but by the time my nail artist comes out it is 6:10 pm and there’s only 50 minutes left until they close so i was ready to reschedule my appointment. when my nail artist was attending me to reschedule the appointment, she started to blame me for saying the appointment i made was for a fill-in rather than a full set when i was clear in the call that i didn’t have anything on my nails and that i wanted a full set. fast-forward to the next week when i rescheduled, i was running late so 10 minutes before my appointment i texted yui (the owner), who had texted me to confirm my appointment, and told her i was going to be late. i didn’t get a response so i called the place at 5:00 (my appointment time) and said i was going to be late. a few minutes later when i was making my way there, i get a call from my nail artist saying if i was going to be there. i explained that i had already called to say i was going to be late and she said that it was okay and she’ll see me soon. once i get there, i was running 20 minutes late, which is a lot and i do apologize, but the nail artist told me she couldn’t do the nail art. when i showed her the picture of the nail art i wanted and she saw the shape and length of the nails and she said she couldn’t do that because it would take too much time. in an hour in a half she had to work with she told me she could only do one color and a simple square shape… i’m extremely disappointed because they wasted my time not only once but twice by telling me they were gonna do my nails. the design i was asking for wasn’t even a hard design. i wasn’t asking for the face of a character on my nails. it was simple lines that in reality wouldn't of taken that much time. in other places i’ve gotten my nails done in a hour. the work ethic in this place is not good and the nail artist never stopped giving me attitude. i am so devastated how one person can ruin the whole place for a customer because the owner was extremely nice but if this is the type of people she’s hiring im not going to trust them...

The girl was brand new and so slow. After 3 hours of being there, I told her that I needed to go. Was nice, and just sucked it up, until I went to pay and she wanted to charge me $80.00 for this plus tip!

I was livid. I was like, “wait, excuse me?” I am frustrated. This isn’t an $80 nail job.

The manager came, and she said that they aren’t an Asian quick stop and they take very good care of their clients nails, and take their time.

I said, “no your not, but your saying this — this is a quality nails?” This is better than an Asian nails salon? I don’t. Think so.”

She said, “I understand, and I’ll knock off the removal.” I said, “my nails were literally almost gone, a simple file with the drill would of gotten them off. She didn’t need to soak them.”

Manager, “ we don’t tear them off here, we take care of the nails.” I said, “I’ve never had them torn off, they always soak my nails off, and I’m feeling you that my nails needed a simple filing and she did a lot of unnecessary things.”

But fine, I’ll pay and just get out.

The manager lowered it to $60 and said that I could come back and get them fixed. Yeah, that’s what I want? To go back to the place where I just told the girl I didn’t like her work and be even more uncomfortable.

The acrylic is bumpy, the nails don’t fit my nails, the nail Polish isn’t even, and the whole full set was awful. I paid $60 for this. I’m so angry.

How could the owner allow this nail tech to do nails for clients? High end clients ! For $80, I’m expecting it to be flawless, fast and pampered.

I don’t understand how this is being professional to allow a girl that just graduated nail school in February!! I’m so mad!!

Well her learning how to do nails just cost me $60 and now I have to go to an Asian salon and have them done...

This will be my go to spot FOREVER and I want to tell everyone to go here!!! My little sisters wedding is Saturday and we needed some last minute nails done, we went to one salon earlier today and ended up walking out from such a HORRIBLE experience. We called and they were able to fit us in same day to fix the other shops fail. We walked in and the energy was so positive, they offered us strawberry lemonade and cake bites and it was delicious! Hailey did such an amazing job on my sisters wedding nails! The detail and attention she put into her work was spectacular!! She will have some beautiful hand/ring pictures for her big day :) Yui, if I could give you 12 stars I told you I would! She did an amazing job on my gel manicure on my horribly neglected nails. She made me feel confident in my hands and nails again. She did a beautiful job and even went above and beyond with a paraffin hand dip to put moisture back into my cuticles and fingers. Her hand and arm massage was so relaxing. Ester, another technician at the shop I know she would give the same amazing service as my sister noticed Haileys nails with such small intricate details that Ester did. I just got my nails done but I’m already so excited to schedule my next and all future appointments with their team!! They really care about their clients and their shop is so modern and gorgeous.
