KFC — Restaurant in American Fork

It's chicken the way you pretend you make it. Update, requested dark meat only a it is a menu option. They said they didn't have enough to fill the dark meat only order but did for original recipe. It was the middle of the day Saturday. Were they running out if chicken or just being jerks? Well I vote the later because you are supposed to be able to select between the two. And if it was an issue then they would only have enough for 2 more orders and then close. Nope they lost my business at least this location. Decided to improve the star rating based on the fact we still frequent this store. I am sure it is hard to find help these days. You can't be picky when you don't have options. Currently quality as up to usual expectations. Update: stopped by to pick up a hamburger. I paid and they asked me to pull forward. I did and the remaining 3 cars in line were served and then no one else in line. No one was pulling in and the restaurant was empty. After 15 minutes I pulled into the parking lot and went to speak with the manager. I asked for my money back and also found they never even put the order in. The problem was with the 2 girls staffing the drive through. I don't think they understood my order. They spoke a different language to each other so it may have been a lack of understanding what I ordered. The manager took very good care of me. I hope that the staff will get the proper motivation to take care of the customer. I don't think those two girls should have been order takers as they seemed to not fully understand what people ordered unless it was a standard number...

Being totally honest. I don't particularly like fast food. However, sometimes we should give in and let someone else choose. That is what I did when my husband and myself went to KFC located at 439 East State Road in American Fork. I will say it tasted better than any other KFC I have been to. The younger gentleman that helped us was without exception, one of the kindest individuals we have interacted with in quite a long time. He was very genuine and his goal was to make his customers happy. I would have liked to mention his name because he deserves more than a normal, simple thank you. Our order was a bit different than the normal menu. Nevertheless, he said, no worries I understand complicated and I'll get you covered, I just want you to leave happy. The price was exceptionally affordable. We ordered takeout and before we left, he offered us a free root beer. We were too far from home so we ate outside in our vehicle. As I mentioned, the food was good, not like a home cooked meal, which is to be expected. While we were eating, I noticed how clean it was outside of the building and was very impressed. At times the outside appearance can give you a good idea what the inside is like. Not always, but definitely this time it did. I was a bit reluctant to remove one star but I feel obligated to mention that the restroom needed some desperate attention. It was dirty, messy and the floor was very sticky. Which sends one's mind to wondering what they are stepping on. I would like to add, keep up the good work inside and outside, just don't forget...

Last time I was there I called ahead to ask them to make some grilled chicken. Can't eat the fried stuff and have had bad luck getting fresh grilled chicken in the past. Told me it would take 20 minutes and I could pick it up. 15-20 minutes later I show up to pick up my order.

When I get there the young guy working the counter walks away from the counter back towards the bathroom saying he'll be back in a couple minutes.. Huh? When he does get back 5 minutes later, I tell him I phoned in an order to have some fresh grilled chicken made, so he says he'll have to talk to his manager about the order. No problem. He comes back and says it wasn't ever made and it will be 10-15 minutes until it's done. 30 minutes later my chicken is done, but he forgets to give me the other half of the order and I have to remind him that the grilled wasn't the only thing we ordered.

This took place on a Tuesday evening when there wasn't a ton of business. The only positive was the manager I phoned in to talk to was polite and receptive, but apparently doesn't expect that from her employees. On top of it all, the place needs a thorough cleaning. Looks like no one's kept the place up since the 90's. Lots of alternatives in the area; can't see myself going...
