I was so excited to dine at this Magic Key Holder only spot at DCA and saw so many good things about it! I made a reservation online the morning of and was able to score a table for two on a Friday.
When we arrived, we checked in and they let us know they were running behind about 20 minutes, which was okay with me. The cast member who checked us in was so delightful and kind. Our table was ready 15 minutes after our arrival and we went up the stairs to our table. The terrace view was lovely and vibe was there.
For such an "exclusive" spot, I was so let down by the service once we were seated. Not sure if our server or the team that day were in training, but service was so slow and the place was not packed. We waited 20 minutes for our server to take our order and later had to flag down a bus boy to a server because they were no where to be found for drink no. 2. We ended up ordering drinks and asking for the check. She came back with the drinks and the check and I gave her my card immediately. They took quite a long time and
The food alone was good, but I've just had better. I was bummed the lobster corn dog was no longer available. The mac & cheese needed more seasoning but the bone marrow was yummy. The monte cristo corn dogs were pretty yummy, even though I wanted the lobster corn dog (which is no longer available). Hard liquor drinks are pretty much bottom shelf (look at the menu), but the price definitely does not reflect that. Best food and drink? The monte cristo corn dog and the shipwreck cocktail.
Overall, so underwhelming and I'm so bummed to say that. Like I get that you want it to be cool and look awesome in photos, it also has to be good! Our tab was a little over $100 for 2 hard liquor drinks, 2 beers, and 2 entrees. Sadly, I probably won't be back unless the...
Read moreMagic Key Terrace is accessible to those with Magic Key passes. If you don't have a pass, kindly ask a friend who does to invite you. I've been fortunate to visit this spot a few times. If you need a place to relax and get away from all the Disney madness, it's worth a visit. Located on the second floor above Mendocino Terrace, it feels like a restaurant lounge.
Our most recent visit was during the release of the new menu (08/17/25). We made reservations for an early lunch slot. Our table was ready within a few minutes after checking in. The Terrace was a bit hectic today, so props to the staff. Many guests were as excited as we were to try the new items here, which hadn't changed in a few years.
We looked over the menus and ordered a few drinks and an appetizer to start. We enjoyed the Lime Thyme and Mint Julep Cocktail; both were refreshing. One in our party had a Hazelnut Affogato Dessert Cocktail for dessert, which was a great way to end the meal.
For food, we had a mix of items, all of which were delicious and satisfying. No leftovers were claimed. We ordered the Arancini, Panzanella, Roast Half Chicken, and the Bucatini Alle Vongole. Serving size won't leave you feeling a food coma. The amount was just right for me, but those with bigger appetites may feel underwhelmed.
We had a couple of kids in our group, and they enjoyed their Cheese Pizza and Slider meals, which came with fruit, veggies, yogurt, and a drink. They cleaned their plates also.
Overall, it was another pleasant experience, and our server was kind and attentive. The food and drinks come out promptly despite a busy lunch. Lastly, the high prices reflect the Disney resorts, which is no longer surprising. Terrace is still an enjoyable, yet...
Read moreI've never had such terrible service at any restaurant in either of the parks. I don't normally feel compelled to write bad reviews because I am in the service industry as well, but Sarai was so rude I felt the need to. We ordered our appetizer (cheese plate) right away when we got there and we asked if we could get that before the food. She checks on us ONCE during the entire dinner. I genuinely saw other waiters checking on us more than she did. We were halfway done with our entrees when we had to flag her down to ask about the cheese plate. ( At that point it's been 40 minutes since ordering) she says " oh did you want to cancel the order?" Why would we want to cancel it when we literally ordered it from the beginning? We told her we really wanted to try it and she said it would be out shortly. We end up waiting another 20 minutes, at that point we are done with our food. We see another waiter go by and we ask him to just cancel it because a that point it was a whole hour since the appetizer we ordered. He said he would just cancel it. She comes by to drop off the check and we ask her if the cheese plate was just forgotten about from the kitchen. Her response was " oh the crackers take a long time to bake" I asked if it was standard for them to take over 40 minutes. She then begins ARGUING with me saying that we were bouncing between ordering the appetizer and not. Instead of apologizing for their clear mess up like any restaurant would do she simply made excuses and acted like she didn't care at all. She was genuinely the most rude worker l've ever encountered at Disneyland. I will not be back and quite frankly makes me not want a pass. I wouldn't waste your time going here, and if you do hopefully Sarai isn't...
