The burgers have drastically changed! We bought two plain doubles with fries And one that had basically everything also a double with the onion ring. These burgers are not the same as they were. They are much thinner patties " if" they are the size advertised they are using a ratio that is shrinking much more. To cover up the quantity difference they have added a heavy amount of black pepper to them. RUINED the evening plans! One daughter too sick to ride and had to exit line ( we both didn't get to ride web slingers) she was throwing up!!! Other daughter who always enjoys her burgers hardly ate any of it. I was very sorry I had ate half of my burger because I was feeling also sick to my stomach all night. Having to NOT get to enjoy rides this morning and stay in the hotel room for the morning. DISNEYLAND needs to FIX the quality of the food! YES I KNOW THIS WAS IN CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE PARK but it is still our Disneyland trip at our Disneyland hotel stay where we are going one way to get to one park and the other way to get to the other park- We do not gripe about the prices! We are staying on site! But do not feed us burgers that put a McDonalds burger into a five star category ( and I do not eat McDonald's burgers ) personally do not care for them- but in comparison---- Everyone was wishing they had ate a McDonalds quarter pounder instead of the burger you sold to us! Yes- (my daughters will eat a McDonalds quarter pounder occasionally and actually like them!) Also no one has ever gotten this sick on one of them before! I also am a person that usually says McYuck when they want one" teasing-" But seriously when you are in Disneyland you have a quality expectation of the food you are buying! When you are on the road and the drive-thru is all you are going to get or suspicious diner that has zero reviews the Golden Arches is the safe choice! Disneyland is suppose to have the food that I might not like the price but I know it will be okay! Not expecting five star restaurant! Just want the normal quality ( okay taste) know what you are getting burger! Shame on you DISNEYLAND!!! FIX YOUR FOOD!!!! YUCK! DOUBLE YUCK!! ALSO ---this HAD been our favorite burger place on our previous visit! We will NEVER eat at this place again! One star because...
Read moreWe visited Disney's California Adventure Park for the first time on 6/8/2023. My son has atypical Celiac Disease and needs to eat a gluten free diet. We were delighted that this park provides some gluten free options so we did not have to haul around all our own food. At the Smokejumpers Grill, my son ate a Gluten-free Double Cheeseburger with two Angus Beef Patties, Smoked Cheddar, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle Slices, and Grilled Onion. We asked for no Sauce and no Bun. The hamburger was served on shredded lettuce, which was fine because my son usually separates hamburgers before eating them. He also had the Crinkle-cut Fries. Now, if you have a citrus allergy, please know that most restaurants in the park sell Cuties® Mandarin Oranges. If you have a citrus allergy like I do, eat lunch or dinner early, before everyone else, so you are not exposed to the citrus scents, and sit far to the left outside so you are upwind and the wind will blow the citrus scent away from you. If you have 25+ allergies like me, this is a great restaurant to sit at because its closer to the park entrance. I cannot eat out due to the long allergy list, so I have to keep my food in the lockers by the entrance. From this restaurant I was able to head off to the lockers, get out my packed allergy friendly food, come back and sit with my family to eat, and then put all my items back in the locker before heading out for more rides. This was the only allergy friendly restaurant close enough to the lockers for me to eat a meal...
Read moreSo keep in mind this is fast food in a fortune 100 owned theme park. The food here was actually very good and so much improved from several years ago. Waffle cut fries are back and so much better than the standard Disney Fry. There's impossible meat burgers and chili waffle fries too. How about brisket Mac n cheese? Yep. Shakes? Yep. (One anyway) . Chicken sandwich came with great chipotle mayo with just enough to almost make you think they put too much. Get this: RANCH in a pump dispenser by the condiments table! Who does that? Drown em in that stuff. Drown what? The onion rings which I think we're fresh made and not from a frozen bag. Couldn't believe how good those were. Reminded me of long gone Wolf Burger in Pasadena. You can substitute rings for fries though might be an extra charge. The "salad bar" that used to have the lettuce and tomato for guests to add to their burgers on their own is gone but they give you those on the side. I hope post-covid that feature will return. There's also BBQ in a pump next...
