I don’t ever write reviews, but my experience is still bothering me. My family and I came here to celebrate my parents anniversary and what was supposed to be a special occasion left us feeling cheated. When we approached the host, we had to say hi and acknowledge them rather the other way around. We were seated inside in a very warm atmosphere and was quite uncomfortable from the get go. When our server keilyn finally came, it was very casual with a what can I get you and didn’t ask if we were celebrating anything.
My parents ordered as my brother and I went upstairs to find the bathroom. Mind you once you head upstairs you have to keep walking straight and don’t walk all the way straight down pass the tables. Our family shared all the dishes, but what really makes me question the restaurant is if they’re here to leave customers with a good experience or to basically scam them with the amount of food to order. I understand Disneyland is expensive, but the amount of food the server allowed my parents to order for us is unacceptable and in my opinion, borderline scamming us. I noticed other tables had larger size pizzas, and I asked my parents why they didn’t order a large and said the server never asked so they assumed they were getting it by the slice. It was our first time here and my parents don’t speak the best English. We were shocked by the amount of food that came. Youd think that 9 pizzas for the 6 of us eating would be way too much, not including the other dishes ordered. When our food came, I couldn’t find our server so I tried to get someone’s attention and she came by saying i don’t need to put my hand up. I was honestly shocked as I’ve never been spoken to like that before when at a restaurant. Sorry, had you come by when the food was arrived, I wouldn’t had to have done that. I also mentioned that the spicy honey pizza was soggy, and her reply was it’s just like that. I don’t recommend it because the other pizzas came out fine. But she came off very dismissive and I don’t know if she treated me like that because I’m on the younger side and I wasn’t paying the bill.I also mentioned that it’s my parents anniversary and if they do anything special. She condescendingly said they don’t give anything away for free but I can buy something.
But really put me over the top with this whole experience is when we got our check, they slap on gratuity. Wow now it made sense. Crankup the bill, give poor service but you guarantee yourself your tip. I wanted to speak to a manager, but my parents just wanted to go and didn’t want to put more of a damper on the celebration. I don’t know if Naples actually reads this but if they do, please realize we’re not just customers only. We come to make memories and this one was...
Read moreOur party was at Disneyland for the whole day and we had reservations for Naples at 830pm. We were going to do Goofy’s Kitchen but I was more in the mood for Italian food with a nice view of Downtown Disney . Wanted to relax and not get up and down for a buffet . So we arrived off the monorail and to the reservation booth at 8pm, 30 minutes prior to our reservation so I could request for upstairs dining to make sure I don’t get seated downstairs . I didn’t want the noisy kitchen atmosphere with a food court feel . So she said no problem I will make sure to note that you want upstairs dining ONLY and we have your reservation so when the rest of your party arrives we will seat you . The rest of the party arrives at 827. The woman who reserved our table had just gone inside and two other ladies appear at the booth . So we told her that she was going to seat us upstairs for our 830 dinner . The reason I keep emphasizing the time is the two ladies said oh the upstairs is closed . I said what ??? The other lady noted my request for my 830 reservation to seat us upstairs and now you tell me it’s closed ? Yes mam, I’m sorry it closed at 830. We can see people eating up there but she says no more tables are being served up there and you have to sit downstairs and that they close upstairs at 830. Then when I asked why would the other lady say ok when she knows our reservation time and didn’t say it would be closed. The lady says um well I don’t know . Sorry . Her shift ended . If I could have went someplace else at that hour in the Downtown district I would have but we didn’t have any other choice . So they sat us downstairs against a wall in the corner by the open kitchen like we were some afterthought . I was so looking forward to eating here and sitting upstairs and looking at the view as this was my last trip to Disneyland . The ending was a disappointment .
Please educate your reservation desk what is the schedule and rules of your establishment for that day. Don’t say you can do something and not follow through . Then to be put against a wall next to kitchen almost felt like someone being vindictive . Note : just to mention , I was never rude to the two ladies or angry I just was disappointed . So not sure why we were seated around the corner , maybe just happened to be The server was ok but we were not told there was dessert here . It was not on the menu . But others say there is dessert that they recommend to you . The food was good not the greatest but good . At least that made the 160.00 tab for 4 people bearable . Atmosphere was terrible . If you want a nice Italian dining that’s not like a glorified Sabarro’s in the mall , then do...
Read moreVery disappointed with how expensive the overall experience was. Warning for others who are traveling and like to split meals (due to unable to save any leftovers or to budget), you might get a bit of attitude from your server and minimal needs taken off care of. We were seated pretty quickly with our reservation for lunch at 12 noon (we arrived about 10 minutes early). It wasn't a busy day, plenty of tables inside and people regularly being seated and leaving. It was a rainy day, too so no seating on the patio.
Upon ordering we noticed immediately our waitress demeanor changed toward us when we ordered waters with lemon and a shared meal. We ordered 6 pc bread basket $6, a side Caesar salad $10, and Chicken Penne Pasta $26. The most budget friendly on the menu. Our host forgot to seat us with silverware and napkins, so we had to ask our food runner followed by our waitress for silverware to begin eating our salad dropped off. We would've liked pepper on our salad but no one ever offered or came by to offer (though we noticed other tables being offered).
Our Penne, Chicken, Broccoli dish came out fairly quickly. Our server was kind enough to ask to not put hot pepper flakes on it for us. However, like the extra pepper for our salad, we were not offered extra Parmesan cheese on our Pasta like other tables. There was maybe 4 very small round dime sized pieces of chicken, maybe 6 very small tiny broccoli bits and 2 very small broccoli with stem, and a little over 1 cup of cooked penne pasta. Honestly, the salad for $10 and Chicken Penne for $26 was not the portion size we expected for as pricey as the dishes are. I don't know if it was intentional because we were sharing, but it was very disappointing for a $50 meal (hardly enough to share for two people) that did not include drinks since we stuck with water. Our waitress was efficient in filling our water for us, and kind enough to give us our Disney discount when we asked when paying for our meal.
After our Disney trip, we went to a restaurant on the way home in our travels and for 2 full meals (enough for leftovers) for 2 people and 2 fountain/tea drinks we paid $26 total. Naples Italian Ristaronti is way over priced, the food and service was just okay, the food did come out fairly quick and was warm. That was at least good. But, the food itself was nothing special. This was a one and done experience and...
