We love trying new places and absolutely loved our first experience here. There were 5 of us and we were all thoroughly impressed. Host was friendly and got us seated right away. We were greeted promptly by our waitress Heather. Very sweet with a large personality. She had an answer to all of our questions and provided great recommendations, such as the charred corn, guacamole, steak, etc. Hubby and I were both going to order their version of Manhattan’s but upon being told it is very spirit forward we decided to change! I got a simple old fashioned and he got Bulleit on rocks. We are not too knowledgeable on our Whiskey but our lovely server pointed us in the right direction when it came to choosing! We did not save room for dessert but I’m sure we’ll be back for those churros that are highly spoken of! One unique thing to note: in between courses she would switch out our silverware and plates for fresh ones if needed. A lovely touch that we’ve actually never experienced.
The only disappointment we had was the soggy tortillas that are served with the steak (the steak itself was wonderfully cooked, though). The rest of our experience more than made up for it. We will most definitely be returning next time we stay at the Viv and we can’t wait to see what else has been added...
Read moreI am staying at the Viv and purchased a stay with breakfast for two in advance, which costs $45 per night. First of all, the options for breakfast are extremely limited. I had breakfast by myself as my husband attended a conference most days and didn’t have time for breakfast. I used the vouchers I received and basically threw away one entree and one drink each day I ate alone. They still tried to charge me for a few things that were added to my eggs (spinach, onions mushroom and cheese) even though I had the right to have two entrees but only always ordered one. The one day my husband had breakfast with me and we got two breakfast items we were treated like beggars who came to the restaurant. Service was awful…everything that should come to your table (like butter and jam for toast, ketchup for potatoes we had to ask for and jam was never brought out). I mean, I wasn’t eating for free, I paid for this before I even got here. The staff including the lady at the front stand is incredibly unfriendly and looks like they don’t want to be here. Definitely not paying the extra $45 for breakfast next time. I could have had better breakfast and better service anywhere else for...
Read moreWe should’ve left as soon as we walked in. The tables were dirty and when we told the hostess she got an attitude and moved us to another table and that one was dirty as well. The food was brought out one thing at a time over a span of time. They brought out my salsa at the end of my meal after I had finished and I was still charged for it. The toast was brought out burnt and cold. The waiter was never to be found. The worst part had to be the food being plated. We were sitting right off the kitchen area so we could see the food being plated. The guy was touching everything from bacon and toast with his bare hands. At one point a piece of toast was dropped and he picked it up without washing his hands afterward and continued to plate with his bare hands. There is so much cross contamination that way. Our party had food allergies. I’m so mad we spent over $100. I DO NOT recommend at all. Make the drive to SNOOZE eatery or The broken yolk. You will be treated better by staff and have an...
