On my lunch break, while I was getting my car service, I went across the street to the Moes for some lunch. While I was there 4 or 5 young boys, probably around the ages of 9 to 12, came in wanting to peacefully promote something for what I believe was for their church or school. I am not sure what the previous experiences were with young kids coming into this location to promote their school or church, but the way the manager handled the situation was unnecessary. The manager began to make a scene by screaming and demanding them to leave! Then stating that they could not sell anything inside the restaurant. This I understand. What I do not understand is why she continued to raise her voice while trying to find the parents of these young boys. While accusing other customers in the parking lot (that these boys belonged to them), the boys walked out of the restaurant and proceeded to walk away. Instead of letting the young boys walk away peacefully, she pulled out her cell phone and proceeded to call the police. The young boys then ran away (literally)! In my opinion, this was unnecessary and the situation was not handled correctly. This is something I do not support and the frightened looks these innocent young boys faces while the manger yelled, pushed them out of the store, and called the police is enough to keep me away from this Moes...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst off, Jerry is awesome. Love him, but that's where the good stuff stops. Went this morning with the family for free kid meals. Was met at the door saying the system was down and wouldn't be up for 5-15 minutes. Okay, we'll wait. Another guy goes in and is told the same. He walks to his car and walks back in saying he ordered online and paid online. Was told to cancel his order. He showed he couldn't. They began fixing his order. We asked if they were up and running and were told no. We asked about the guy whose food was being prepared and were told he ordered online through the app. We asked if they could process through the app and were told no. We asked again why the other person's food was being prepared. Was told again he'd ordered online. Once again asked if we could order online and get our food. Guy talked in circles to the point we gave up and left.
Not the first time we've had issues. Got told once they couldn't help me because they were completing a catering order. I said I was in no hurry and could wait. They insisted I leave.
Ordered in store another time and was told I couldn't use my banked rewards because it was free kids meal day. I had no kids with me.
At this point, I'll just drive to Greenville. The convenience of Anderson no longer makes up for the poorness of the food and service. Jerry is still...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThey could care less about another hour before closing. This is the third time I've been to this location over the summer, and by far the worst. Walking in with over an hour before closing, I patiently wait behind two others before I can move close enough to see the line. As there was still an hour, I didn't think they would have been out of several protein choices so early and that they were refusing to prepare any more despite still appearing to be busy (a family of 7 came in behind me). Only the adobo chicken and tofu remained. I had asked if they would prepare any more, and Sonya stated that they weren't allowed to make any more. To be fair, she seemed to be the only person hurrying to try and make food with one person in the back and another (blue hair) getting chips and running the register. (Poorly staffed) I expressed my discontent about having wasted my time, I was told that I didn't ask when I came in. With slightly over an hour left when I entered, who would have considered this? And with the 6ft spacing rule, I wasn't able to see until it was time to order. This location needs improvements in their planning to be a more effective and customer friendly location.
My advice, go earlier in the day when their excuses are less likely...
