Nov 2023 1pm on a Wednesday Thanks to the TMobile promo this week, I got to try Firehouse Subs. I'm not familiar with this chain, nor would I have known about this location. Ordered the hook and ladder sub, medium size, and did not customize, so that I could taste and review it as is... and I have to say, it was pretty decent! I would go back. The sub itself warm and toasted. The bread has a nice chew to it and not too crusty that it falls apart after being toasted. Portions of ham plus turkey to veggies, lettuce, tomatoes and onions, were just right. Comes with a pickle on the side. Ordered in the mobile app and the order was made fresh on time, as stated. The gentleman making the sub was super nice. The rest of the staff friendly and helpful too, greeting customers on entering the store. Great experience on first visit. Overall, the sub is pretty comparable to other sub shops. Convenient to pick up when you're in the area.

Ordered online, arrived in 20 minutes to pick up my food, 3 subs, for me and my 2 coworkers. Waited over an hour for my food. Lobby was packed. The 3 employees were arguing and unorganized. The one employee was completely unprofessional and making jokes about how long people were waiting when she was the main problem. Then once I finally received my food my sub was made wrong and my coworkers said they couldn’t even eat theirs because it was nasty. I normally don’t leave reviews or complain about things but I reached out to firehouse online since there didn’t seem to be a manager, or adult there to speak to. Attached is the response they sent me. They didn’t offer to refund me or remake my food, or give me a gift card for my horrible experience. I’ll stick to Potbelly after this terrible experience and customer service.

I’ve already given my review to corporate. This was my first time ordering Firehouse Subs. I did a mobile order for a meatball sub and a cheesesteak sub on gluten-free bread. upon opening the subs I was disappointed in the size comparison, especially because I had to pay extra for gluten-free bread and the bread is smaller than the original wheat bread, which makes it impossible to give the same proper portion of meats and veggies. Most places have a pre-measured amount of meat per sub size. I absolutely hate that I had to pay extra for gluten-free bread and the gluten free option is always the smallest.

I was trying to just send a review of my experience at the Ann Arbor Mi store with the Firehouse Subs Support link but unfortunately it just kept coming up "Something Went Wrong on Our End". Not sure if technical difficulty or just intentionally shut down. Anyway, I entered the store after a long day and just needed something to eat. The employee working the counter walked up to the register, made no eye contact, quite clearly purposefully looked away from me (the customer) and waited a realistic 15-30 seconds and said "how can I help you sir?" with an emphasis on the "sir". Never once made eye contact and certainly made me feel like I was bothering him by being there. Food was completed in a timely manner and I sat down to eat in the store. I was the only customer in the store on 6-1-24 at approximately 730 pm. I was just trying to mind my own business, eat and get out of there. I was just appalled by the behavior of the staff behind the counter. During the 15 minutes or so I sat down to eat I heard many "F bombs", many "N words" and full volume laughing from behind the counter. I felt like I was at a teenagers party with the objective being to see who could act the most juvenile and not at a place of business. I was just stunned by the lack of professionalism in the establishment. I am not a young man. I have eaten at more than a thousand restaurants. I have never once heard the "N word" used by staff in any of them yet, tonight, I have heard the word more than half a dozen times spoken at full volume with complete disregard for me the lone customer. To be clear, these slurs were not intended for me (I am old and white). They were clearly intended in a more or less friendly manner to each other amongst the employees there. However, I just don't need to hear this garbage. So disappointed. Even in the 1980's I would never have heard such trash in a place of business. I felt I was in some alternative reality. I will never, ever go back to that store. I simply could not wait to get out of there. The environment was so hostile. The food met expectations but was completely ruined by the abhorrent behavior...

As soon as you walk in you're greeted by " Welcome to firehouse" by the crew. As you walk in a little more, you can smell the delicious meats, that are being steamed for the sub sandwiches. As you reach the order station, you see on the wall, that you have a large selection of subs to choose from. Once you choose and pay for your order, which only takes about 5 to 10 minutes to prepare, you notice why they call it Firehouse. You notice that all the walls are covered with firemen memorabilia. There's also a nice painting of the owners and their family playing football on the wall. Now that I have told you about the interior, let's get back to the subs. As I said before they have a large selection of subs. To many for me to tell you about here. You'll just have to come in and see for yourself. I always order the turkey bacon ranch, it's so good and perfect every time. Well that's about it for now see you when you come in. You won't be...
