Time to find a new bagel shop. Over the last 5 years we have bought over 3000 bagels from here. The owner is one of the nicest and hardest working people I've ever met. We moved out of the area and drive an hour just to buy bagels from here. Typically I call and will order 2 or 3 dozen onion bagels to be picked up the next day. Sometimes I would forget to order so I would call the same day and ask if they had any onion bagels left. The owner would tell me if they did and how many she had. I would tell her I would take all she had and she would set them aside for us. Yesterday I had forgot to order so I called and asked if they had any onion bagels left. The person that answered the phone, not the owner, said they had a lot. I asked her how many she had and she said alot again. I said the I would take all they had and she said that I could get 6. I asked if that was all they had and she told me that unless you pre ordered the day before you could only buy 6 bagels total. I asked why and she told me that that has always been the store policy. That isn't true I have walked in for years and bought as many as I wanted and have watched others do the same. When I pointed this out she said she would make a 1 time exception and let me get 10. When my wife stopped to pick them up there were still 2 onion bagles left in the bin. My wife was charged fot 1/2 dozen + 4. Maybe the old owner is gone, but we won't ...
Read moreI have been a loyal bagel fragel customer since they used to be located on Plymouth Rd. I haven't been in a long time since I have relocated to another state, but they were always the best bagels I ever had. They were dense but super soft which always kept me coming back.
The experience I had today unfortunately was very downhill. I'm not sure what they've done to their bagels but they're not the same. They are not nearly as fluffy and dense as they used to be. I got the Cajun garlic and it was dry and overcooked. The spinach feta was not nearly as dense as it used to be. It was half the size and not fluffy at all. The fragels were still good, but they are also not as thick as they used to be either. The cream cheeses were still great flavors, but I can imagine it's not hard to mix flavors into cream cheese.
They also no longer sell bagel packs unless it's Tuesday or Wednesday?? I guess they don't want to sell higher quantities of their bagels anymore?? Well I'm glad I wasn't able to purchase one anyway since these were not what they used to be. Guess I'll only return for a fragel now since those don't exist outside...
Read moreIt's unfortunate that I have to write this review. We have been loving the food. However, the last time I went my partner got a ham, egg and cheese bagel and it was horribly put together with very little hand, very little cheese, just an overall very poor quality product. I called to let them know and the girl on the phone just argued with me and told me that that's how it is. Which is interesting because we've eaten there before and it's never been that terrible before. But she argued with me and told me that's just how it is. So we will never go back and it's back to corporate bagels for us. We have really loved this place so it was a super disappointing interaction and we will never be back. Look at this picture and tell me that that's...
