My husband and I are big fans of Five Guys, we frequented this location pretty often, you could say we were regulars. We hadn't been to this location in a few months only because we both started new jobs and the timing didn't work out, I also became pregnant and the smell of fries made me sick for a while. Anyway, we decided to go into Five Guys today for dinner before a movie and of course being pregnant i was SO excited for my burger. We noticed a difference pretty soon after walking in; the staff is entirely different, the woman at the register seemed like she really did not want to take any orders as she slapped her hand on the counter between each press of a button on her monitor, ignored my request for no mushrooms on my burger twice and seemed irritated when I reminded her, then near tossed the credit card to my husband after payment. We requested to the cooking staff to make our fries as crispy as possible (as we request at every Five Guys we have been to ever and they are always happy to do so), first one staff member insisted he cannot possibly cook the fries a little bit longer, then "the boss" says he would make them extra crispy, needless to say...they were not, it was basically mashed potatoes. Oh and my burger had mushrooms on it and both burgers were on the soggy side. In short, lazy staff with attitudes and no drive to please the customer. I should also mention the place was a mess with food strewn all over the floor...there is usually someone with a broom and dust pan cleaning up everything at any of these restaurants, and the sink in the men's restroom was out of order with no sign anywhere. This doesn't deter us from the Five Guys brand but we will certainly avoid this location from now on. I know its just a burger; this rant is probably just my...
Read moreI went to five guys yesterday 1/15 with my friend and got something so simple and my order still wasn’t correct. I waited 14 minutes for a Hot dog and regular fries. The staff were rude and the staff that was rude recognized me from the past when I use to manage in the past. They didn’t greet any customers, no communication, the lobby was disgusting and it was just awkward. I haven’t stepped into five guys washtenaw in a while and when I come in, I didn’t have the best experience. The staff knew it was my food and it’s almost like they deliberately messed my food up on purpose. I won’t recommend my friends and family going to that location. Dave the district was just there on thursday 1/11 and to come in days later and I was treated like that and my food was insane. If I was a secret shopper I would have scored a O. It was that awful. You can tell the staff wasn’t happy and I wasn’t either. The girl at the register didn’t even greet me but it was her register and she was just standing there glaring at me. She knew exactly who I was. It was very awkward for me and not a good atmosphere. I shouldn’t be uncomfortable ordering dinner with my friend. Regardless of me not working at five guys anymore I should be able to come into any location and be treated well and I wasn’t. The little light skin girl with red braids in her hair who has been in five guys company was the one who was glaring and making it the most awkward. Who ever was on dress didn’t dress my food right, Whoever was on expo didn’t make sure all of my items were in the bag. It was just not okay. I hope it gets better but it looks like it hasn’t from how people...
Read moreI love Five Guys, but this location is meh. It’s kinda dirty, the staff are pretty rude. I called and was put on hold, which is fine especially on busy days. However, I was on hold for 15minutes. I ended up hanging up and calling back. The manager answered and transferred me to the front. The lady answers the phone with “what do you want?”. I begin my order and almost done when she stops me to say that since my order was over $30, she can’t take my order over the phone and that I have to go to their website to order. Okay...already super annoyed. So I go online to order. There is no option to order Cajun fries. I searched the order page up and down and throughout. There was no notes section either to make an adjustment. And look, everyone knows that Cajun fries are a staple at Five Guys. So I order regular but go in to pick up and ask for the Cajun instead of regular.
The food tasted okay but super disappointed.
Go to the Ann Arbor Saline Road Five Guys. It is waaaay better. It’s clean, they have Cajun fries on their online ordering, which was awesome. The food...
