This was literally THE WORST Thai food I have EVER had, and the worst service I have ever had, too, and that is saying A LOT. I have been all over Asia and eaten all kinds of Thai food, but what I experienced tonight was nothing short of inedible.
I specifically told the waitress "NO SPICE" in any of the dishes, yet they all came out so spicy that we couldn't eat any of them. The only thing that had been eaten was a chicken fried rice and dumplings for my daughter, but the three salads my mother and I ordered were filled with so much spice that we never took more than 2 bites out of each of them. My mouth was on fire so badly that I could feel my skin on my lips burning and couldn't even eat the Pad Thai because of it.
One of the waitresses came over and offered us rice because she could see it was so spicy, but it didn't make it any better. Then, when it was time for the check, she refused to take any of it off the bill, even though she knew I had asked for no spice and even though it was obvious we hadn't eaten any of it.
When I asked her to take something off the bill, she responded with "I'm not the owner", smiled, and walked away with my credit card. Just to get out the door I had to pay $93 in total for only one appetizer and one entree that was eaten, even though nothing else was eaten and barely touched. What a complete ripoff and what awful food and service. I don't even know how this place is still in business, but if you value your time, money, and tastebuds, I highly suggest you...
Read moreThe food was pretty good, but I'm quite upset by their business practices. We went on a Sunday, 5 people total, and were there for 30-40 minutes. We were the only customers there. We ordered 5 dishes, 1 side of rice and 2 cokes. They bring a receipt for $117.50, and I pay with card. I get the card printout to sign and add $22.50 in tip (roughly 20%) to round it to $140. When I get home and look at the receipt to split it with my friends, I noticed that the initial bill of $117.50 already included an 18% gratuity charge of $17.06, and that the bill was actually $94.75. Nobody mentioned this, nor did the waitress say that tip was included. I know I'm supposed to double check but I find it disrespectful to not inform the customer. At the end of the day, we tipped 42%, which is absolutely not what I would have tipped. I won't...
Read moreLoved this thai spot in Annapolis!
Really cute eatery, gives you the hole in the wall feeling, but on the main road of Annapolis. The food is delicious! Be careful, the spice level hits, so if you can't handle spice, don't try anything above 1 chili.
The green curry was delicious as was the drunken noodles. My only negative takeaway was I should have asked for steamed tofu instead of fried tofu. That being said, the food had a great spice to it - we got 2 chili's and it was fine for us, but we eat spicy food. Actually wouldn't have minded more spice.
We also brought our own wine bottle - there was a 20 dollar corkage fee, which is a bit high, but totally fine.
The service was really great, and the people were awesome. Would drive down here from Baltimore again just for this thai...
